What would you add or change?

As I have discussed before my amazing friend is making my wedding shoes a lot like the gorgeous shoes that I have seen on here pictured to the left. So I purchased the shoes in the picture and my lovely artist/designer/friend emailed me the pictures of the design he has so far and here are the pictures! Aren't they fabulous! He is going to do them in all black and then add a couple green crystals. However, you might notice a whole blank side of the shoe. My question is does anyone have a suggestion of what to add? What would be on your shoes?

For those of you interested...some explanation on the things...the flowers are explained except lilies (my favorite and he is adding a sweet pea because my mom calls me her little sweet pea).
Bowling pin and ball because we first met at a bowling alley, are on a league together, went after prom in our dresses and tuxes and will do the same after the wedding.
Santa Cruz because that is where is proposed, where he officially feel in love with me, and one of truly special spots.
New York...on my bucket list, so he surprised me and took me for our three year anniversary.
Bat Symbol is him :)
Champagne to symbolize New Year's our WEDDING DAY!

Anywho...any ideas would be great and maybe what you would put will help me get an idea.

I also suggested our favorite songs (maybe lyrics), our favorite shows, Tahiti (honeymoon), Echo Valley (street our house is on), gnarled wood to symbolize my nana, 49ers our sports team.

Shayla you are always with amazing ideas and wonderful wedding things, these shoes are beyond wonderful, I love hoe everything is so meaningful, I think the idea of the songs titles is great, or love and inspirational quotations would be fantastic, a house your new home, the symbol of infinity, I'm sure you would have amazing ideas for the rest of the shoes, and I know you will get something sparkly for them too, sooo looking forward to seeing them ready, yaaaaaaaaaaay!!!

This is a really great idea! Its so meaningful!

I don't really know what you could add, since I don't know what things are special to you, but I do like the idea of song lyrics, or quotes. Maybe your FH could be asked to provide a special message for you for your wedding day. Something like what would be engraved inside your wedding ring. Or if you are engraving your ring, have that phrase put on the shoe too.

Thanks so much!  I am so excited!  He bought two pairs...one to practice on and I want to see it so bad, but he won't let me see my shoes until they are done and ready to be slipped on like a glass slipper :)

Loislovesclark- that is an amazing idea.  That would be such a great personal touch I never though of!  I certainly know it is hard for people to help with such a personal thing, but you ladies never cease to amaze me :)

oooooooowwwwwwweeeee, I'm excited for ya!!!!!!  can't wait to see them!  I'm still debating on this.  it would definitely be a splurge but HEY.....you only do this one day, right????

Your shoes are going to look awesome. Another potential idea: something along the lines of a message, maybe you could write "The rest is still unwritten" (like the song) to symbolize that you have many more memories with your FH to come.

Soon to be--- I understand the splurge.  The fact is all of us girls are changing into uggs at the reception.  I couldn't justify spending $300 on gorgeous shoes even if I do plan on putting them in a box and displaying them.  So, now that my friend is making them for me it is that much more personal, a gift and will mean that much more going up in my house.

Mac--- I love that idea...especially that quote!  I love the song and I love that particular lyric and the significance it would have.  That is genius!

Thanks Laurie!  He sent me the "blue print" for the blank side tonight and it is AMAZING!!!  I am speechless and can't wait to see the final product!
