Personalized Hanger
I love the pictures of the dresses hanging in the window and then when I saw these hangers I had to make one. I have this wooden hanger that I painted black and then made my future name and added some beads that are the same as the ones on my cake cutting set. I am going to take thin green wire and wrap it around the hanger. I am also going to make six more of them to hold my bridesmaids dresses with just their first names. I might use green wire for that instead of black...who knows. I think it came out super cute, but I might try it again with a little thicker wire.

Flower Girl
What do you think
I have two adorable flower girls who will both be five when we get married. They are most likely going to be throwing glitter instead of petals since I can't have real petals inside the building. I am having a hard time deciding if I want to go with a formal dress that has the pick ups like mine, white or black, or maybe something a little more funky? What do you think?

Pin Up Girl
I was talking with some photographer friends of mine and we came up with a great idea to do pin up girl photos for my lovely husband to give him on the wedding day. I am going to take photos with the motorcycle I am surprising him with during the wedding. His grooms gift will be these pictures and the pocket watch, then my first gift to him as his wife will be the smokin hot motorcycle! It is going to be legend...wait for it...dary! I am going to get a fabulous corset (his favorite), little ruffly undies like these ladies are wearing and then do my hair in some pin up curls with the pin up girl make up. We are also going to take some with my fur shall on that I will wear on the wedding day and some with the pocket watch that is his grooms gift. Just a small twist on the boudoir photos. I think it is going to be super fun!

DIY Cake Topper
Finished my cake topper tonight and I love it. It is sooooo sparkly and fabulous! I love the bling and it is going to look so great on the cake. It will be so exciting when I see it on top of the cake and know that I did it myself too. It is the moment where you can look and think heck yeah I rock!

Shoes
I got all of our shoes!
After researching those shoes and finding that they are $79 or more online, but only $29 at Burlington Coat Factory I went back and bought them for me and my 6 bridesmaids. Now, all that is left to do is dye them LIME GREEN! Yippee!

Bridesmaids
Shoes!
I feel so guilty about the whole bridesmaid thing. I mean you pick out a dress that you hope they can wear again, you try to make things as affordable as possible, but when do you just pick out what you want even if you know it is going to upset them? I picked out a black cocktail dress that I think will be cute on all of them and I think they could easily wear again (they don't even have to cut off and make it shorter...ah 27 dresses). I am paying to get their hair done. However then the shoes came into play. I fell in love with the green Ninas but they are 90 bucks which is so much to ask someone to spend on top of the price of the dress and the bachelorette party and all that. So, after a TON of shopping and going into some neighborhoods that probably put my life in a small amount of danger I found these fabulous shoes at Burlington Coat Factory for only $30! Online the same exact shoe is priced at $75 or higher. Yippee! Finally! I don't know how much it will be to dye them, but at this point I just don't care. I think they are going to have to live with it. Do you think they are as cute as the Nina's? Oh, and why if a shop has a LIME GREEN dress...giant LIME GREEN dress would they look at me like I am a ridiculous human being for wondering if they had LIME GREEN shoes?

Bridal Shower
Mamma Mia!
My Aunt has offered to throw me a bridal shower and I am VERY excited about! Being that my wedding is right by Christmas she thought it would be fun to do a beach party one in August. As we got to talking the theme came to be...MAMMA MIA! It is going to be great, my mom is short and has spiky little hair just like the friend in the movie and my aunt looks like the other one, so when we were in theater watching it they both leaned over and said they were going to do that to me at my bridal shower and now they really are. The girls will all get boas, it will be beachy themed, and then my aunt is going to put on a show. I am super excited!

Wedding Decoration
arch!
There was another wedding faire today and they made the fabulous arch I will be getting married under again! It is so pretty. Granted my will be with my colored flowers and we are debating spray painting the curly willow (probably white). I am also doing curly willow trees behind the head table kind of like the picture, but only four of them and more spread out. There will be white pipe and draping, so we are thinking of spray painting the trees either black, white or lime green, unsure which one at this moment. Then between the gaps there will be crystals hanging down. It is going to be FABULOUS! The other picture is part of the wonderful tree we made that I thought you all might like.

count down
Under 300!!!
When I first got engaged I was so excited to come on to some fabulous blog like this then that excitement was quickly crushed when this evil little thing announced to me that I had over 400 days. I mean if it hadn't been for the need to have money to have a wedding I would have been getting married January of 2010 not January of 2011. However, low and behold I had to wait and so far I am surviving. The wedding is now less than 300 days away. I have already made it through the agonizing wait for more than 100 days, so I should be able to truck on. I just can't wait to be Mrs. Harsch, but sadly waiting is part of life, so in the mean time I am having a fabulous time being a bride.

Ask a Question
Something Old? Something new. something borrowed? Something Blue.
Help!!! I keep putting all this thought into something fabulous to have for this special little tradition. I was super excited when my grandmother sent me a six pence for my shoe (I wasn't really sure where to get when to start with) and then I found this wonderful decal to put on my shoes for my something blue. So cute, it not only goes on my shoes (which I love!!!) it is sparkly! The new of course is my dress, but I have no idea what to do with the other two. I was going to borrow a veil, but no ones really works...they are either ivory or too long or have lace, etc. I was then going to use family jewelry for the something old, but it is all gold. What to do??? Any suggestions?
