Has anyone made their own birdcage veil? It seems like in wouldn't be vey hard to do. Any pointers would be appreciated!

I have tried and bought the materials-- all in all it costed me about 10 bucks.  however I couldn't for the life of me get the thing to look right! The hardest part for me is shaping it.  I think it's worth it to at least try.  You may be better at sewing than I.  here's some links that i looked at when i decided to DIY it:

I will be attempting to make my own birdcage veil as well..I found  all my supplies on ebay. I added the links just in case. I will be incorporating one of my crepe paper flowers into the veil as well as the ivory ostrich feathers and a rhinestone brooch. So far I have the flower done...I have pics of it on my blog but just like soontobemrsbean wrote, shaping is somewhat hard to do. I will be asking my mom to help with that part. I haven't posted pics yet of the final veil, hopefully soon though. Hope this helps a bit ^_^.
