So happy with my pictures, I had the best day and the pics really show it. Well I graduated this year, married my best friend and got the job I really wanted so I think that I am done.
Ladies my day was really hot, almost 40 degrees, I learned that a cold pot of water for the feet can cool you right down. Due to the heat as soon as possible everyone started changing into comfy clothes, I even had bought a summer dress because we suspected it would be hot. I didn't plan my cake cutting or my bouquet toss or the garter removal but it all happened which was fun. Everyone said it was one of the funnest weddings they had ever been to. The caterer did a wonderful meal of salmon and roast with watermelon salad and mini potato's with more choices of salads and everyone said the food was great. My fun cake was a smash everyone thought it was soo cool. Well in overall I wouldn't change a thing our wedding didn't have a plan but went off without a hitch! I also want to say thanks to all the WBC brides who answered my questions and helped me make decisions, thanks for your comments! |

Well its all over and it was a dream day!
Lots went wrong and lots went right but I have no complaints I loved it all! The day of the wedding was 35 degrees outside so after photos i changed into a summery dress for cake cutting and partying!

Money
Money money money monnnney!
So I have been trying to stay close to my budget but a few things have crept up on me. Things that I didn't consider: dry cleaning my dress that I bought used, $250. Port-a-potties, due to the area being on a well to save water we rented port-a-potty, $290. Flowers went over budget by $220.
So I am doing ok towards my budget I am not over as much as some people but really I had really hoped to keep it on the budget. With 80 rather then 100 some money has been saved but not much, the rental of all the dishes and tables and linens went over by $300. |

Wedding Cake
Fun vs Serious cake!
In my wedding fun cake totally won out. Some might have seen my previous blog with the cake topper which is a bride pulling the groom from a quad bike. Well I have talked to my cake maker and they are making purple and green cupcakes with an top cake that is going to be like a quad track with the quad in the dirt. I am so excited about my fun cake I always knew that I would not want to have a serious cake for my wedding and am looking forward to my different cake.
My cake is going to be some chocolate and some vanilla cupcakes with cream cheese icing yummmm so my fav. the second picture is what my top cake will look like but with my cake topper and well a few more mountainous regions, lol. |

Wedding Flowers
For the love of Calla lillies!
So I have finalized my flower order from the store I am getting them and will be paying $720 a little over what they quoted me a year ago but all in all not bad.
The final decisions, I will be holding a bouquet of 12 black calla lillies, my maid of honor will hold 8 black and white calla lillies, and my bridesmaid will hold 8 white calla lillies. The table center pieces will be a bubble bowl with 3 black calla lillies wrapped with bear grass around the inside. The women in the family, ie my mom and his mom will wear 2 mini calla lilly corsages and the men will wear one mini calla lilly corsage all the corsages will be white. |

Favors
finally picked favors yah!
So I worked so hard to find something that spoke from the heart of my fh and I that well i didn't have favors yet. Well I finally found something, I bought mini measuring tapes and syringe needle pens. I am going to personalize these with my own labels and then tie them together with ribons and hand them out as favors.
I like this because they are going to speak about me who is a nurse and my fiance who is a survayer. I think it is a cute and fun way of giving something of us to everyone. I have 80 people coming and only got 60 of everything because I am going to give one per a family since it is kinda expensive to buy everything, well this is my great idea. I got the pens of ebay for a good deal and got the tape measures from the dollar store but in all the favors will cost $2 each. |

Bridesmaids
fabric for dresses is in.
I am excited my aunt is making the bridesmaid dresses after all to help cut down on the costs so she went to find dark purple fabric and there isn't much out there with no pattern. Any way here is what she came back with and i think it is quite pretty.I could only find a pattern that matches the one dress, one of the girls is waring strapless, one is waring v-neck.

don't know what to do about shower?
So my MOH is planning my shower and bachelorette party in my home town where the wedding is taking place on the thurs before the wedding on sat. The problem is that some of the people coming to wedding may not make it and some of my friends where I live will not be making it to the wedding or the shower obviously. Some of these people have asked if I was going to have a shower and bachelorette party here where I am currently living. I would like to do this but what do I do, do I plan it myself, do I ask someone to plan it? I don't know, they want me to do it but know one wants to plan it. I was thinking maybe just a hottub barbeque at my place, or something, is this a good idea?
