This is puglover's Purple Wedding!

I got my veil, it is gorgeous, I love it but my camera is broken so I can't take a photo. Anyway its great but I was wondering does anyone know a way to change he shape of a birdcage veil. The veil is a little far away from my head I was hoping to bring it closer or fit it to me persoanlly. Is there a way to do this?
I don't know maybe I orderd it to big, maybe I may have to cut it?
I want it to fit like the girl in the pictures, close to the head!

Let me know if anyone knows how to change the shape!

So my fiance and I met with the marriage commissionar, she was really nice and she seems great. I was a little disappointed that she is divorced but hey what can you do. She gave us the book that has the vows in it and said we can change anything we want so now we will go through that.

I also ordered my flowers from the florist. She was great did exactly what I wanted and gave me an e-mail address to contact her with if I want to change anything.

I started the wine, we are making our own wine with personalized labels on it. Blackberry merlot and strawberry zinfindale. My parents will bottle it in the new year and I will get the lables off e-bay.

Lastly I got my order put in at the party rental place, so all my tables and chairs with table cloths are reserved, which I am happy about since it is a holiday weekend and I think it will be a busy one for the company.

also met with my photographer when I was down, went through some of his albums, discussed different photos I want.
Some on the tractor, quad ,with the horse and pug, at the beach on the grass. I also made clear that I do not want him stopping me while going down the aisle I saw this once and did not like it. He was great I really think we are on the same wave length and I will be really happy with the pictures,
We are going to do family photos first then go off and do bridal photos, which I think is a great idea.

So I had a busy holiday but I will start with my makeup trial. Since I am an out of town bride I did my trial while I was at my parents for christmas. The lady doing my makeup was awsome. She used the airbrush makeup to cover the flaws which was awsome.
At first I was very unsure of the makeup cause it was dark when I looked in the mirror but I am really happy with the pictures and I think it will look great in my proffessional wedding pics.

The only problem with doing my trial now was that I was really pale and I am hoping to do a spray on tan and be a bit darker so the colors may have to be a bit more summer orientated a little less grey maybe.
But let me know what you all think!

So I got my dress today, its mighty early but I bought it off a girl who never wore it so it came right away. We are the same body type and same hight so it fits great and looks cute with my shoes.
i love the dress it is exactly what I wanted, I included photos of the dress and some of the details.
Now i need to decide whether I should do a dark tan or light, I don't tan at all so I am doing a spray on tan and will just pick the level I want a week before the wedding and just spray once more a lighter color to keep it up the day before the wedding.

Ok so I was going to do my own makeup when my mom said "if your paying so much for proffessional photos don't you think you should have your makeup done". Well I started phoning around and googling for makeup artists in the area, and couldn't find any! Finally found one and she cost $75 a person, wow not paying that.
I finally facebooked my cousin to see if she knew anyone cause well she knows tons of people. Well she subjested the lady who waxes her eyebrows so I called. Well I am so happy.
The lady does airbrush makeup and travels to where you are, she also knew what vitilago was and said she could cover up any spots on my body I wanted covered. Her cost is very resnable and I am so happy. Because the wedding is not where I live now I am getting my trial around christmas so I am excited. SOOOOO happy now.

I included some pictures of my makeup idea's, going for modern vintage, to make the birdcage veil. Like the cat eye but with purple instead of black because it makes my eyes pop.

PS For those who don't know what vitilago is; its a loss of pigment in the skin that looks like large white patches, it can show up any where on the body, I have some on my elbows and feet that i want covered for the wedding.

So I walked past them so many times, but this time I had to try them on and well I couldn't walk away.
THey are perfect and love them so much.
they look so sexy yet really cute. The color is perfect too.

I ordered my cake topper off ebay! can't wait to get it, we are a funny couple and didn't want hearts or doves. So we got this great couple with a quad which is something we do all the time together. If you want something unique you gotta check out ebay.

Ok so here is the deal I went to a wedding as the date to a groomsman and he sat at the head table and I didn't know many people so I had to sit with a bunch of people I don't know. Now I am pretty social and talkative so no biggie, but it was awkwward. So I heard about a romantic table where everyone sits throughout the tables and the groom and I share a small round table.
Now I like this idea cause it leaves more for socializing between the wedding party and everyone can sit with their date. I think this will work becasue everyone will be comfortable and relaxed the style of my wedding.
But in some ways I am still leading towards the old school way of head table with everyone.
Any ideas? let me know what you think.

These are so cute and funny. I am marrying outside but like great shoes, what to do. Well I found these on a website they are hilarious you put them on the heel of your shoe and they add width to the heel so you don't go through grass or fall on gravel.

So I ordered my birdcage veil and am really excited. The picture I include is my veil but in black and the broach I ordered with it. It will take about 4 weeks to get here, can't wait.

SO I had decided on white calla lillies for my wedding but now I am on to the black mini calla lilies, they are beautiful. I am going to hold them and my bridesmaids will hold white and black I think. I am going to do calla lilly centerpeices too. I have included a whole bunch of different centerpeices for all the brides who like calla lillies.
I just love them so much and am happy to have them as my flower. The price difference between the calla lilies and the orchids is very little so I am going with what I want.

My favorite is the first on the bottom! How about everyone else?

Liz is my best friend in the whole world, we are very simular in so many ways and know matter how long we are apart as I live far away when we talk its like nothing has changed and we never lived in different cities. Even my fiance and her boyfriend get along great, it was funny cause we even started dating them the same year and they are both 7 years older then us. I love her so much and is a great friend.

Ok so she went to the local store and tried some dresses on and found one that looks great. We then both searched the web for the cheapest site for dresses and found one. $140 for this dessy brand dress in aubergine.

My other bridesmaid is my cousin don't know if she has tried anything one yet but will add later for her.

Ok back to the dress again, yes I have one that I got cheap off ebay but I was having doubts so now I tried some more dresses on. Well I fell in love with something different then any other dress I tried on. Here are the pictures. My tummy is tiny but got lots of work on my arms.

So now I am trying to decide straps or strapless? you let me know what you think.

I have reached my half way goal, lost 20 pounds since may and am hoping to loose 15 to 20 more by christmas. But I kinda reached a low point I am pretty happy with the weight loss to this point so loosing more is becoming harder. Its amazing the difference 20 pounds makes.
For those that wanna know how I did it well I give thanks to weight watchers and nintendo wii dance dance revolution. Now I also go to the gym but need to work harder on the meal planning.
Anyway just making announcments.

So I bought a dress off of ebay. It is a nice dress I am happy with it, its hard to say whether I will stick with it or not at this point because I lost a bunch of weight and well it doesn't fit. I can't get it altered yet because I am still loosing weight. At christmas I will be done with my weight loss and will get it altered to fit and then decide after.

Any way I like the dress but I want to add a bit of bling to it. So I did some research got some books and realized that sewing on the swarvarski beads, bugle beads, and seed beads isn't that hard. So I bought some and I am going to practice then sew some on to the dress when I think I am ready. Not too much just around the top and the ribbon in the middle.

I sent out y invites early cause people were coming from all over Canada for my wedding so I wanted to give them lots of time to plan. I already am getting rsvp cards back, this has made it real. I am really getting married next year, wow! I am a bit nervous now when it comes to the wedding. I love my fiance and can't imagine living without him but some times I am worried that things will change after marriage. I really feel that every time we have a disagreement it needs to be settled fully so that it doesn't come up again after the wedding. I guess its just that so many marriages don't work and when I ask these people went wrong they say things changed or he changed or she changed. I don't want to change!

Here are some pictures of how I want my makeup. I usually do my makeup myself but my mom insisted that because i want great photos I should have a professional do my makeup. So here are some of the pictures I will use to show her what i want. I also included a picture of myself with my makeup done.

I found this girl on a website for birdcage veils. I fell in love, I love her hair and her veil. I am going to ware a ivory color veil instead of black though. It is exactly what I want hair down with curls but with some up with a curl. I just love it so much.

hey so I sent my invites out the other day. I sent them out early because I have people coming from all over Canada and I wanted to give people lots of time to book and plan. So now I have nothing to do till January when I am booking the rental stuff. Time to worry about school for a couple of months. Nursing school that is.

So we were going have the sand ceremony together, I really liked the idea and have seen many friends do it but now I have found a better idea. Instead of the sand idea I read in one of my magazines about a couple planting a tree together. This is what we have decided to do, proebly a merigold tree because they are really pretty. I liked the idea because its different and I think it matches with the farm wedding. I also liike the idea because the family farm has been in the family for 4 generations and we plan on living on it eventually so one day when we do the tree will still be there and we can show our kids.

Ok so I had this great favors idea from ebay, I went a head and one the bidding but when I went to pay for them the lady had been taken off ebay and I couldn't pay so I guess I am not getting them. They were so cute they were home made calla lilly soaps! Now I don't know what to do as a favor? I am getting married out doors on a farm, kind of a garden wedding but with dancing and all. Any idea's ladies?

I like things a bit different but don't want to spend a ton of money. I previously looked at the m and m candies with writing but getting them to Canada was crazy pricing. Well let me know if you have any ideas. thanks.

So I was looking at some of the posts about birdcage veils and I fell in love. The dresses I have chosen both match the veil idea, not that i am waring both just still deciding. So I still wanna ware my hair down so I have been exploring lots of the photos for idea's, here are some of the veils I like and the hair idea's I liked.

So I have a photographer for my wedding am really happy with the price and the work that I have seen already. Now I also want to do a a trash the dress photo session the next day or soon after. I also love all the idea's for the sexy photos that everyone is talking about as a gift for my fiance. I even found a photographer in town that does them really well. I am really looking forward to startiing all the pics because I will have dropped 40 pounds by then so it will be huge to see myself.

I am using a lap top and speakers to give my wedding great music, my bro who is also a groomsmen is great with electrics so he is in control of the music. So I started a list of songs I like, but I am a country and dance music girl and I want everyone to enjoy the reception. Well the dress I ordered off ebay is going to be here in a day! I am excited but I still can't get my mind off the sophia tolli dress that I found and posted earlier on my blog. I am cheap but I also love nice things and don't wanna regret anything from my wedding like I should have wore a nicer dress! But on the bright side I could do a trash the dress session with the cheap dress after the wedding and then sell the sophia tolli used! I don't know I tried to tell my fiance and he just laughed and said if I paid I can have whatever dress I wanted. That was our agreement he would pay for everything as long as I payed for my dress! What am I going to do!

Bought his ring off ebay for good price, he loves it! Titanium ring with one dimond. Mine is white gold with candian dimond. It may not be huge but its candian and top quality! haha double meaning.

still deciding what to pick for a color!

I am looking for the sophia tolli vivian wedding dress. I thought I had picked my dress but then I started looking for fun and fell in love with this gown.
