Ask a Question
how to sit the wedding party help I need idea's!

Ok so here is the deal I went to a wedding as the date to a groomsman and he sat at the head table and I didn't know many people so I had to sit with a bunch of people I don't know. Now I am pretty social and talkative so no biggie, but it was awkwward. So I heard about a romantic table where everyone sits throughout the tables and the groom and I share a small round table.
Now I like this idea cause it leaves more for socializing between the wedding party and everyone can sit with their date. I think this will work becasue everyone will be comfortable and relaxed the style of my wedding.
But in some ways I am still leading towards the old school way of head table with everyone.
Any ideas? let me know what you think.

you could do head table but let the persons date sit with them so it would just be a really big head table

I've seen a sweetheart table with two long tables on either side with room for the wedding party and their dates. It was nice because I've been in that situation where I didn't know anyone and BJ was in the wedding party. Not a fun time.

we are having a head table and the 3 front tables will be reserved for his parents and siblings and my parents and siblings and then one for the dates of the wedding party and the rest of the guest can sit where ever

I'm doing exactly what kellyjaxn described.  Our sweet heart table will be between two rectangular tables for our wedding party and their dates.  We each only having three attendants, this probably wouldn't work for a large bridal party.  You could also have a sweet heart table and a round table on either side but out away from the sweet heart table for the bridal party and their guests.

We ar doing a smaller version of the sweetheart table. Just us and the best man and moh (they are married). That way, the room looks fuller and the other attendants can sit with their dates and not feel like the spotlight is on them. Since the best man and moh introduced us at their wedding, it puts the light on us and lets us thank them for not only their roles in the wedding, but also their roles in our lives.

I like the idea of the sweet heart table with the rectangle table off to the sides, we have 2 attendants each so I think this will work.
Thanks everyone.

I have been in the same situation, it sucks! We decided to show a little love to our bridal party by doing something a little out of the ordinary. Originally we were going to do the sweetheart table, but I felt like I was missing out on an experience...having my girls sitting next to me. Then I decided to do something I have never seen before. I will have my MOH sitting next to me at the head table and next to her will be her husband. Next to my groom will be his Bestman and next to him will be his wife. There will only be the 6 of us at the head table. The rest of the bridal party will be seated at tables together with their significant others. It'll just help them to enjoy the evening a little more.

Im going to have my head table set up in a U shape. So the sweetheart table will be in the middle and there will be two large round tables on either side for out bridal party and their guest can sit together.
