Bridesmaid gifts - Advice please - PURPLENAT1's Purple Wedding by Color Blog

I bought a bunch of pearls and jewelry making pieces to make some jewelry for my bridesmaids as gifts. There aren't things I expect them to wear at the wedding, but things I hope they'll enjoy wearing.
I think the bracelet I made is quite nice, at least I know I would totally wear it. But I'm not so sure about the necklace. I kind of think it looks like teeth - like what a poacher would wear around his neck aka "I pulled a tooth from every alligator I killed, and strung 'em around my neck. See!"
What do you think? Would you actually wear this necklace? I still have plenty of time to totally change it, no problem, so be honest. I don't want to give something that's never going to be worn.

I think the bracelet is gorgeous.. but i have to agree about the necklace.. looks very much like teeth...

You asked for honesty, so I'll provide just that. I don't think I would wear either one. The bracelet is very pretty and unique, but it's to "bulky" for me. Then again I don't wear a lot of jewelry (took me forever to find a watch that I didn't think looked gigantic on my arm). But as I said it is still very pretty so if your girls like jewelry they'll love that. As for the necklace, I have to agree about the "teeth". Can you leave the teeth off and just have the plain pearls or even possibly by swarkorski crystals to add a little color. Other than the teeth I think the necklace is very pretty. Good luck!

I do like the bracelet but the necklace, my thoughts would be the same as yours. Mind you, some people would still wear it, but if you do have time, maybe you could change the design to something less toothy lol.

That being said, I think it is really cool that you are making your bridesmaid gifts. The effort is awesome.

And I agree with tiggre99 - just pearls or adding crystals or something would be really nice. Or even a bigger bead or silver piece or something would be very pretty. Depending on your girls' tastes of course, which you probably know well.

LOL! I hate to admit that the necklace kind of looks like teeth! But the bracelet is amazing and I would buy and wear it in a second. You did a great job on that.
