Matching David's Bridal colors??
Does anyone know if there is a way to match mens ties to Davids Bridal colors? Do they carry a mens line at all or have some sort of affiliate to help with that? We need to match the color Regency in 2 ties....Help!!!!

Groomsmen!
We have finalized the groom and groomsmen apparel. I'm really excited about it. Originally we were thinking they would wear tan suits but we have changed our minds (which seems to be a prominent theme of our wedding) and decided on something very flattering in BLACK! Eli was super excited about this change. As everyone knows, it's his favorite color. I have included a pic of the suit. The FH will wear an orange tie with a purple flower bout. and the groomsmen will have purple ties that match the BM dresses and orange flower bout. ! Yay!!! One more thing I can cross off the "to do" list. Now I just need to find ties that match the David's Bridal color "Regency"....any suggestions??

Wedding Invitation
Life goes on
Well, my save the dates (std)and invitations are finally complete!! There's just one small problem...the std cards fell apart during shipping!!! After slaving away hand crafting every magnet and glue dot and die cut, the magnets somehow managed to unstick themselves from the cards and wiggle their way out of the envelopes. Crazy!! I'm still not sure exactly how many people didn't receive a magnet but we are going to make more so that I can complete their mystery mail. Once you see the picuture you can understand just how confusing it might be to get one without a magnet. To quote my future father-in-law, "Is this some sort of headband wrapped around this orange paper?" lol!!!! I don't blame him, and I'm feeling very embarassed about the mishap. Oh well' it could have been worse-right?? I'm sure there are post men all across America laughing at my magnets!

Finally!!
We found the BM dresses!! And even better, they were on clearance in a PERFECT (but discontinued) color and super affordable. They are way cuter on my girls than they are on the model in the pic and a much brighter darker purple. It's called Regency and is a very bold, regal color. I'm so excited. I've also included a pic of what their flowers will look like. Amazing!!!!

UPDATE!!!
New Wedding Date
So after a great deal of consideration and weighing our options, the FH and I have decided to bump up our wedding date. We will now be taking the plunge on August 28, 2009. We are beyond excited about this and can't wait for the special day to arrive!!! The date of our reception in WA will be September 19, 2009. Save the dates and invites will be in the mail pretty soon.

Wedding Reception
Centerpeice??
Soo...I found these little silk flower centerpeices at an amazing deal and couldn't resist them. They're bright pink and orange and the table cloths will be purple. Now I just need an honest opinion, do they look way to cheap and cheesy? I never even considered using faux flowers until I stumbled upon these. I would love to put them on the tables at the reception (which will be less casual than a usual dinner reception) and surround them with little tea lights. It will be a night time reception and not brightly lit so take that into consideration.

Wedding Dress
Going with a gut feeling
Ok lades, (No FH allowed!)
I think I found "The Dress" a few weeks ago. I've included a few pics of me in it. The pictures do it NO justice. The sparkles are unbelievable in person and it made me feel like a princess!! So why haven't I bought it yet? Well, because I have been staring googly-eyed at the pictures of another dress for months now and just feel like I HAVE TO try it on before I commit to another. So, I'm going to Bellingham on Monday to do it. I'll let you know how it goes!! I would love some feedback on the pics. Ok so the resuts are in....I added some pics. The ever-so-anticipated dress that I drove 3 hours to try on was no where near as beautiful in person(or on ME) as it is in pictures. The beading was slightly gawdy, very itchy, and it looked like a paegant gown. Oh well, at least the trip confirmed that I truly have found "The Dress" and it makes me feel like a princess...just like I always dreamed of!!! |

I really want to incorporate our fun wedding colors into the cake (eventhough my Dad says that these ones look like Birthday cakes and not wedding cakes.lol) . I like the idea of using fresh flowers but I love the simplicity and the fun fuschia color of the second one. Let me know what you think!!

Help me find this dress!!!
I found this pic while googling tropical weddings. I am obsessedd with the pink bridesmaid dresses. If you look very closely there is a rouching at the top of the bodice but it is not an emire waist style gown. I have attempted to contact the people in the picture and reached a dead end. ANY INFORMATION you might have on where to find this dress or something very similar would be extremely helpful!!!
