Wedding Reception
Its Booked - Have'n a Hoedown!
![]() I love it. I am going from one extreme to another. The beauty and sophiscation of a winery wedding. Then off just a few miles down the road, to a historical joint for some old fashion fun! Its Story..... History First opened in the 1880s when Upper Lake, California was a stage coach stop, the saloon remained a popular watering hole until the onset of prohibition in 1920. The expansive bar and dining tables were milled from a 100+ year old walnut tree harvested from the property and built on-site by local craftsmen. The bar was built to match the 1870s back bar, which was relocated to the project site from Pennsylvania. The authentic look and feel of the saloon transports patrons back in time but geo-exchange heating and cooling systems, solar panels on the roof and modern kitchen equipment all produce a comfortable, state-of-the-art, eco-friendly environment. Tallman Hotel Re-opened in early 2006, The Tallman Hotel is a stately 1890's hotel that has been completely restored to its original beauty and charm. The interiors are inspired by the naturalist setting of Upper Lake and Lake County. A rustic chic aesthetic is created with antiques, custom handcrafted furniture, hand-painted murals and art depicting local flora and fauna; while the guestrooms are accessorized with Eastlake-style furniture. |
