Bridesmaids
Alfred Angelo 6543
Here is the dress by Alfred Angelo that my two bridesmaids and M of H will be wearing. It is so elegant looking very sassy as well. I know its something that they can use after the wedding and not have to toss it into the back of their closet or even worse, into a donation bin !
Its in the color 'Cobalt' but really its a royal blue. It also looks great because all three of the ladies are brunettes and from the photo you can see how it just stands out even more. I also got the girls a two band tiara for them to wear. It being a winter wedding, I really wanted them to have some shimmer to their ensemble, but subtle enough not to take away from my look, and so I went to the local accessories store after the wedding season and got a great deal on the tiaras for them. |

Bridal Shower
Afternoon Tea
It was great to see how sweet and dainty the hall was set up when I arrived.
I really loved the idea of having the small tea sandwiches and the miniature desserts, it all seemed perfect for a very feminine bridal shower. And I loved it! All I did was give my thoughts on the theme and my maid of honor, a close from and some help from my mother and my sisters with the food and drinks, it turned out wonderful. There were various tea pots on the food and drink tables in the hall, of course the sandwiches were all cut to miniature, as were the desserts. There was a variety of tea flavors available for the guests as well as a nice punch fountain. The guests were all able to go home with something from the shower; every guest received a very dainty mug upon there arrival with a small 'Thank You' tag on it, the guests were able to use the mugs for their drinks as well. The games consisted of Gift Bingo (whatever I received as gifts), The Price is Right (the guests one the item they guessed the price of, as well as a bottle of wine!), they also had to write a chocolate bar story about the B & G, and there was also a jelly bean guessing jar for the younger ones. It was also great that all the guests signed a pink shower curtain when they came in, now my fiancee and I will have a bunch of marriage tips to read in the shower :) At the end of the shower, once we had a chance to get some food, and I cut the shower cake, I handed out small favors I made for each guest which was a miniature handbag made out of vellum (my fiancee helped glue them together!), with some Junior mints inside. When I handed them out, my MofH collected the envelopes for the Thank You cards that each guest had to fill out, and then I picked one, and it decided who got to take home the centerpiece. It was so great and planned out so well. I will never forget it! |

Wedding Gift Registry
Home Outfitters, The Bay & JC Penney
We though that there would be a lot of guests coming from the U.S. to the reception so, adding to the fact hat we formed the registry's in a frugal way out of consideration for our guests, we decided to make a registry with JC Penney. Besides, who doesn't love the idea of making a gift registry without leaving your cozy chair at your computer desk!
We also went with Home Outfitters for our housewares items and The Bay for our stemware and china. |

The Proposal
Paradise Island - Bahamas
We were on a short vacation in The Bahamas when he popped the question, and I couldn't have asked for a more romantic engagement.
We had just gone for a formal dinner at the resorts A La Carte restaurant. After a stroll on the resort under the starry sky, we went back to our room. He opened up the blacony curtains and stepped outside. Shortly after, he called for me to come and see how clear and beautiful the night sky was. There wasn't much space to begin with, so I was standing just in front of him. He had his arms just around my waist. It wasn't long before he leaned in and to me that he loved me and wanted to spend the rest of his life with me, and then he said "Robin, will you marry me?" I was in tears, I still hadn't realized he had anything in his hand when I turned to him with tears in my eyes and asked him if he was serious. Then he lifted up the little white box and I saw the gorgeous ring. The Ring was manufactured by Corona Jewelers in Toronto |

Wedding Cake
Heart-Shaped 3 Tier Cake
It was great to find out that the mother of one of my bridesmaids, makes wedding cakes as a hobby. I had a sit down and we were able to go through everything.
It will be a white cake, white fondant, royal blue ribbon trim like in the photo, with the beaded looking icing to separate the tiers. Icing or silk flowers will be cascading down the side of the cake. Atop will be the gorgeous Wilton Cinderella cake topper that I bought. My fiancees father also made a heart shaped cake platter for it sit on, there doesn't seem to be any other types out there besides the separated plastic tiers, I glad he was able to make it. He even added a center plate to lift it from the table so that a lace or ribbon skirt can be put around the edge of the platter. It will be beautiful! |

Wedding Photography
At First Sight
http://www.atfirstsightstudio.com/english/homeframeset.html
My fiancee was assigned the task of finding photographers for us to interview. When we went for a trip to Quebec in June to go to the Church, check out reception sites, and interview the photographers. We were completely convinced that At First Sight was right for us. We picked the 5 hour package which gives us; - Wedding Day Coverage with TWO photographers (any additional time is charged at only $200/hr for both photographers). - 300-450 photographs from the Wedding Day, delivered on a high-resolution CD for future printed options - an elegant presentation box containing the 300-450 photos printed in 4x6 size - All of our photos will be posted on the company website for a year following our wedding, for all of our friends and family to view, (this is definitely one of the things we liked, instead of taking so long passing the proof book to so many family members to select the photos they want printed, they can view them right from home while everyone also gets to check them out!) |

Wedding Invitation
Fairytale Carriage Wedding Invitations
I worked with Kate Rogley with Twice Touched Treasures, she was very sweet and very patient, tending to all my concerns and questions about the order. She personalized the invitations for us and we even received extras in case we had forgotten a guest or two on the list. I am fully satisfied with the invites we decided on. They were more pricey then DIY ones that I was working on, but without a question, these are the right ones for my wedding.

Wedding Dress
My Wedding Dress
So I have my dress completely paid for. Having some trouble getting the darn seamstress to fix the beading and to sew on my monogram, but all is coming together. She is doing a great job with taking in the dress so that it fits just right.
