Mommy's little helper
So you ask, Tiff, who has been helping you with alll those projects??
Is it Christopher.... Yeah right, he approves from the couch as he plays his video games Is it your mom.... Yeah right, she says I live to far away (30 minutes!) and that I could come to her! Is it your bridesmaides.... Yeah right, two of them live out of state, one has no car, one works all the time, and one has a child and lots of other responsibilities. Then who, just who helps you out Tiff.... The best dog in the whole world!! BAILIE!!! He sits right by my side (or in my lap if I let him) and watches my every move! He is sooo supportive! Just wanted to show him some love because I love my baby soo much. Does anyone else have supportive pet helpers?? |

Mock Alter Arrangement
So after realizing how pricey alter arrangements could be at the florist, I decided that I would go ahead and take a chance and see what I could come up with. My ceremony will be at the reception hall so I won't have a beautifully decorated church as my background. I knew I didn't want to have an arch so this was the alternate idea. My florist is letting me use 2 of his 40' pillars that will go on each side.
Please tell me what you think about this arrangement? Should i change, add or delete anything? Thanks guys (please ignore the laundry bag in the background, i did laundry yesterday and I have yet to put the clothes away) |

Ask a Question
What do I do with these????
Okay, so I found these cute lil things in Michaels the other day and they were only 70 cents each so i had to get them. however, I have absolutely noooooo idea what to use them for. I decorated them and everything and still clueless as to where to incorporate them. I was thinking i could make signs to put in the lil silver part like "thank you" and place it by the card box? IDK
Please ladies, give me some ideas of how and where to use these. I only have these four so I can't put them on all of the tables. |

Bridesmaids and flower girls gifts
Got a little crafty once again. Let me know what you guys think!
The two flower girl boxes will have a little white bow tied on the handle but the paint was still a little wet on there so i will add it later. For the bridesmaids boxes, the bracelets are wrapped in tissue paper and stuffed inside. |

Hobby Lobby
Today I lost it at Hobby Lobby!
So can I just say that I LOVE HOBBY LOBBY!!!!
Today I spent 2 hours in my local hobby lobby. I would like to apologize to all those brides who do not have a hobby lobby, if I could, i would come and build one there for you! Nevertheless, I realized that they had all candles, candle holders, frames, and flowers on sale 50% off of course. So remembering that I had lots of candle items to purchase, I got up this morning and made my way there. Heres is all the great stuff I got: 48 votive candles-$8 24 votive candle holders - $12 Decorative teal votive holders - $4.50 two taper candle holders and pillar holder (unity candle) - $10 photo frame with lots of bling - $6 flowers for sample alter arrangement - $12 Vase for arrangement- $12 DIY project for flower girls - $8 Best trip ever!! I will post pics of everything once i take a pic of them, but see my other posts for the alter arrangement and the flower girl gifts. Oh and did I say I LOVE HOBBY LOBBY! |

My centerpieces!
I first want to give thanks to Belabride for this idea. I told her that i totally loved hers and that I had to steal this idea!
Here is what I came up with. I also got my vase from trusty Dollar Tree (man i love that store) and all of the other accessories (rocks, candles, mirror) from there as well. I printed the label on to vellum paper, but it was really a pack of tracing paper and edged it with ribbon. I am soo in love with it and so very proud of myself for how it turned out! What do you guys think? any suggestions for changes? Thanks in advance and thanks again to belabride for the idea! |

Survey
I went for it too!
I just couldn't help it! I jumped on the survey train too ladies!
How long did you date before you got engaged? Bout three years Did you get the ring you wanted? yes! I helped pick it out! totally love it Was the proposal a complete surprise? Not so much, he is not a spontaneous kind of guy Did you cry when he proposed? umm, wanted to, but didn't. I saved my tears for later Where do you want to go for your honeymoon? Somewhere hot and sunny, exotic even Are you buying his wedding band for him? yup and I already paid it off! One less thing to worry about Have you gone over your original wedding budget? Ummmm, not really sure what that means! LOL! Never really did a formal budget, just getting things when i can, but I have gotten a lot of help from relatives so I should be okay, I hope What day of the year will your wedding be? Sunday November 22, 2009. What kind of weather? I hope it is nice, not too cold and Nooooo snow! Inside or outside? Inside Church/justice of the peace/other? Same place as my reception, got a deal! How many people will be there? hopefully i can get my list down to 125 Time of day? In the evening, I would like for the ceremony to start no later than 6. But knowing us black folks, we will be on CP time like everyone else no matter how hard i try to keep it on time! Any kind of theme? well, I have been trying to figure that out. It was Tiffany's but my colors have changed a little. So I think i am going to stick with a royalty type of theme using crowns and bling. My FH and I say that we are the King and Queen and everyone knows that, so we are trying to play that up just a little. How many bridesmaids? Who would they be? 5, on matron of honor and 4 bridesmaids all of whom are my very close friends ( besides my sister who is the MOH but she is my close friend too) What kind of cake/what will it look like? four tier square cake, ivory color with aqua ribbon, silk flowers and a crown on top of course Where will you have the reception? at a banquet hall in orland park, the same place as the ceremony What kind of dress will you have/color/material? I have a beautiful princess style dress. It is ivory with a beautiful train! Had to have one of those. with lots of beading. I love my dress and it should be in the store by the end of this week so that I can go for my first fitting! What kind of flowers in your bouquet? I have to have my favor flowers, tiger lillies. But i have to throw in there some white calla lillies since everyone else in the bridal party will have callas tha I am making myself. Kind of engagement ring? Princess cut in the middle stone, seperated in four stones, raised above the band that has circle diamonds around the band. Kind of wedding bands? I will have two bands, one above and one below my engagement ring. The band has circle diamonds that are similar to the diamonds on the ring but a little smaller. How will you wear your hair? definitely up, off my neck, and out of my face. I do not want to ruin my hair when i get all hot. I want it to stay flawless all night. Since i have long hair, i want it up and curled with my tiara. Who will be important to be there? Well of course my boo, he better be there! lol! and my dad, he is totally excited and can't wait for the day to come. Will the reception be big or small? Average i suppose What will the groom wear? He is being so secretive! But i think that he is wearing a black tux with ivory vest and bow tie to match my dress. While the rest of the groomsmen will have on the pool color vest with regular ties How old will you and the groom be? I will be 26 and he will be 28 How long will you be engaged before you get married? a year and 4 months Live together before or wait till married? We have been living together for a while with our big baby dog Bailie and our fish tank Take a long time to plan the wedding or will it be simple? Since we are paying for it ourselves, we waited for a little while, but i am still trying to make it as simple as possible and trying to make as many projects on my own to save on money. Will you do it yourself or with family or hire someone to plan the wedding? Planning this shindig all on my own, with selective input from the boo Will you write your own vows or use something pre-made? more than likely pre-made. I will prolly not have enough time to think of some so heart felt and FH is not emotional like that! |

HELP!! Wishing Well Wording on Invites
Hey WBC ladies!
So for the past hour, I have been trying to figure out how to word that my FH and I will be having a wishing well at our wedding. I did not want to include it on the actual invitation, so I was going to put a little blurb on one of my inserts. Alot of the random googled website I visited had cute little poems but they were rather lengthy. I just need something sweet, short, and simple to put on an insert to let the people know. Please Please Please help before I lose my mind at 2:30 in the morning!! Thanks in advance Update*** So I took Nevahs advice and chopped one of the poems I found. So on my "information and map" insert under reception info, i put: To save you from looking, shopping, or buying, Here is an idea we hope you don't mind trying. Come to our wedding to wish us both well, And make some use of our little wishing well. What do you guys think? My FH said he liked it a lot. So thanks ladies for your suggestions |
