BAD !!

The only thing that really went wrong the day of the wedding was the cake. Some people thought I was nuts. I had a black/white/red theme for the wedding. so the cake was to be black and white which matches right lol. Well we get the cake and it white and teal like bright teal its strange to fit in with everything else. I didnt like it personally it was a nice looking cake and didnt taste to bad but it was the wrong color. It bothered me all night. I know compaired to some peoples wedding things can go much worse.

it looks good but I'd be asking your cake maker what went wrong with the colours.... the pattern on the bottom is nowhere near the one in the example.
it doesnt look straight either (the top doesnt look flat) maybe its just the angle of the photo.

I understand the frustration, after all the planning, a silly mistake that you cant fix and that wasn't your fault can drive you nuts!

At least it wasn't something crazy, like orange fondant with damask on top :)
It was a subtle mistake, that I doubt anyone else even noticed.

If I were to guess, I would say she ordered the damask edible sticker/decals in the wrong colour by accident, and didn't have time to re-order.

I called a few days later about it and didnt really get any where she wouldnt admit to doing anything wrong. she gave the answer that it couldnt go that dark on the pattern. well i have seen it black before and why didnt she tell me in the first place that it wouldnt be that dark. I think its the angle of the picture some one took it looked pretty straight that day.
