My DIY Monogram Parasol
I just can't get enough of these DIY projects.

The parasol painted with the "A" (still needs to be touched up) will be used by me & the FI for photos... the parasol with the blossoms (which is not yet finished) will be used for photos with my niece / flower girl.

DIY Cake Topper - 1st Attempt
I figured I would try to create the custom clay cake topper several times before it came out the way I want it.

This was my first attempt... not too bad for my first time. I already have a few ideas of how to improve it for the 2nd attempt.

My DIY Card Box
Each of the 3 layers are the different paper patterns I am using throughout the wedding. I will be calling the baker tomorrow to see if they can create the cake to look like the card box using rolled fondont.

This is still a work in progress... I need to add some enhancement but I'm not sure what to add yet. Any ideas?

My DIY Water Bottle Labels
Is it possible to become addicted to DIY-ing? If so, I think I'm an addict.

Since the wedding ceremony will be held outside in the middle of June, I felt it was only right to serve a cold beverage just to make sure no one passes of from dehydration.

Monogram
Monograms
Monograms, Monograms & more Monograms
Today was an eventful day. Before 10 o'clock this morning I had 12 orders for monograms. It's going on 7pm & I have gotten 5 more orders & have finished almost all of them. I literally did nothing today except design monograms.

I want to find more mediums to paint the monograms on. Tomorrow I am going to start the parasols... that should be an all-day-er.

Any ideas on what else these monograms could be painted on?

Engagement Photos: Part I
So this weekend we went down to St. Pete Beach to take our engagement photos & to meet our photographer for the first time. If there are any Bay Area Brides on here, I HIGHLY recommend Michelle Diaz Photography. Not only is her work execptional, but she is so much fun to work with. If you would like her contact information, just e-mail me. I would be very HAPPY to refer you.

I was actually quite nervous before meeting her and beginning the photo session. I am not typically comfortable having my pictures taken even though I often photograph others. We ened up having so much fun out there, I forgot that I was having my picture taken.

I will post some of the photos as soon as I get them back.

Monogram with Grn Border
Monogram
My DIY Monogram
I have been making monograms for quite some time so the choice to make my own was a no brainer. Since there are a lot of elements in our wedding, I went with a rather simple monogram.

I also make monograms for other brides so feel free to email me @ sarnlb@gmail.com if you need one.

Where to use Monograms...

- invitations
-programs
-aisle runners
-napkins
-glasses
-cards, thank you's
-menus
-seating charts
-place cards
-favor tags
-match books

You name it... it can be monogrammed.

The Dress
Wedding Dress
Very Laurenish
Designer: Maggie Sottero - V172 "Heather"

As soon as I saw this dress I knew it was the one I wanted. Of course I couldn't find any bridal stores that had it. A few shops I called told me that they order that dress as a special order only & there was a 8 week + wait for it. Determined to have what seemed like I couldn't have, I finally found a bridal shop that was clearing out sample dresses & happened to have that dress. Not only was I able to get it, I also got it at a great rate.

My DIY Jewelry
Since the rose color on my dress was a difficult one to match, I had a lot of trouble finding jewelry that coordinated with it. I was just about to give up on finding the jewelry when I thought to myself... "if you want it made right... you have got to make it yourself."

The crystal is genuine swarvoski & the pearls are farm raised.

Contact me @ sarnlb@gmail.com if you need your own custom jewelry made.

My DIY Aisle Runner
I wanted an aisle runner but did not have the 4 - 6 week lead time or $125 to spend on one.

I'm already into painting & crafts so I decided to make one myself.

Best yet, I began making these for other brides. I have made almost 10 already & have 2 more to do this week. I have begun to take orders for printed parasols as well. I will post a picture when I am finished painting the one I am working on now.

Email me @ sarnlb@gmail.com if you are interested.

The Proposal
A Special Suessical Day
Celebrating my birthday in Orlando with Gerald, Isaac & my parents was a treat alone, I truly did not think it could have gotten any better. Saturday was to be spent in Universal Studios followed by Islands of Adventure on Sunday... Being the Dr. Suess fan that I am, when I got to Dr. Suess' Suessville @ Universal Saturday morning I was gleaming with joy. I wanted to be sure to take advantage of the happiness we were all sharing & take plenty of pictures. I asked my parents to take a picture of Gerald, Isaac & myself in "Dr. Suess' Garden." The three of us sat on / in this giant Suessical flower & waited for the camera to "click" & capture the moment. As I sat there waiting, I noticed that everyone was looking at Gerald! I turned to see why & to my complete surprise, there he was... ring in hand. I smiled... he smiled more... I think Isaac's cheeks were going to pop because he was smiling so big. And that was the day I officially became the Future Mrs. Atwaters.
