The Kid's Table
Are any of you hosting a kid's table? What type of things are you planning on using for decoration on it?

So far I have began to design a coloring book... which I will have to thrown on the printer tonight of tomorrow if I am going to use it (4 days left).

I was also thinking about having some type of special centerpiece for them but have not figured out what to use.

Any kid's table ideas / suggestions?

We thought about it, but never did it and the kids entertained themselves as well as us and they had a blast. If you are doing this, a few items will be good and they are kids, they'll come up with something inventive! When the music starts they'll be glued to the dance floor anyway!

Wedding coloring books

For the crayons I'm going to use heart and round shaped muffin pans and sticking in the oven idea... but using solid colors...

The centerpiece will be an arrangement of different kinds of candies.

I'm looking at 3 different tables for the ages of the group.

Depending on their ages I'll also purchase some projects they are able to do. If its from making charm bracelets or painting some mugs not sure... Some boys and girls will have fun on doing...

I have designed our own coloring book with a caricature of Shawn and I on the front of it! So cute. We also found wedding mazes, connect the dots, I even found a site that you can create your own word searches and jumbles on it! I just printed one set on the computer, but will photocopy the rest. I have bound them together in Duo Tangs, and then covered the book with some paper matching our decor. For their centerpiece I have bought black fabric boxes and I will be placing in individual white bags, crayons, pencils, bubbles (wedding inspired) and a few toys bought at the dollar store...wedding loot bags basically. So cute. I did not want to put candy in there as we are already doing a candy buffet, and did not want them to be on a sugar high during speeches etc...Good luck with it all!!

I decided not to do a kids table...thought I would like the children under their parents supervision.

Have a grab bag with color books, books and crayons

I saw some really cute photos on Flickr from the user messaround... she had topiaries made of bubble gum. VERY cute idea.. and I'm sure it wasn't too expensive.
