I really love the pocket style invitations.. but not the price.! I'm pretty good with the ol' computer. I I'm trying to do alot of it myself. Here's the ideas I have! I found a place that makes really nice cardstock.. you can get all the pieces separate, and do your own printing. I am just getting the pocket folder, envelopes and rsvp envelopes. The rest I am printing/cutting myself. If you go there.. be sure to order some samples first to make sure they go into your printer ok. The RSVP cards are small.. and just wouldn't work well. So i am printing them on larger card stock and cutting them to size with one of those fancy cutting contraptions I will borrow from my super crafty stepmother.

I just think it's crazy.. prices in this area are nuts for a wedding cake. $300 - $1000.. for a CAKE?? ANd I don't know if any of you brides have ever tried fondant.. YUCK .. no thanks. I want my cake to actually be eaten.. we're having a desert served after dinner. The cake be cut after dinner.. for pictures then will be served later that night with the sweet table.. candy and assorted tarts/squares/cookies etc.

I've been known to make a mean cheesecake in my day.. so I decided I would make 3 cheesecakes. 6 " 8: and 10" and put them on 3 stands.. of increasing height. I'm making one english toffee, one mocha and one just plain, New York Style.(all nut free!!) My sister who is an awesome cheesecake maker is helping too!
All will have the same decorations on top, with the small one having our monogram logo topper.

I am having a Matron of Honour.. my sister. and a Maid of Honour my 13 year old Daughter! I am having 2 bridesmaids.. my two best friends. They are both pregnant right now!!!! so both will be with new babies at the wedding.. Because they are both pregnant.. picking out dresses is going to be tough! One isn't even giving birth until 6 weeks before. I hope we can find a dress and order it in that short amount of time... do they make nursing/bridesmaid dresses lol!!

We designed our own logo for the invites.. favor tags etc. And i found a great company called Simonstamps who made us a custom rubber stamp for so cheap!! www.simonstamp.com. I have had 2 made.. in different sizes.. the larger one, about 2 1/2 inches was only $14 with shipping included to Canada. What a deal! I'm stamping everything lol. A little embossing powder and I'm going to add it to our DIY invites.. I'll post a picture when they're done.
