If i want to go with this look for the reception I'd need all the lights off right? Would my pictures turn out since it would be dark? Any ideas on how to get this look?

this looks like either..

perhaps marbles and submersible floralytes.... they run around 3 bucks a piece... I have pink ones.... check at save on crafts. com

or those light up plastic ice cubes....

they also have those...

it will be dark in your room during dancing I presume.. but these lights will help make the tables glow.. they should show in pictures. If you have a photographer.. ask them and let them know what you are envisioning. The key is to have plenty of them. To keep the room glowing well.. try Christmas lights.... and maybe paper lanterns.

Also try those focal lights.. they look like little spotlights. They run on batteries.

Hope that helps!

most places I visited before I picked my venue had dimmers on their lights.  They may have used the blue spot lights pointed ceiling high around the room.  The glass containers seem to have blue crystals or stones with the little floral lights you can get at Michaels or most craft stores.  Looks really cool though!

those lights at the bottom are LED lights... you can get them on ebay...the crystals like someone posted are pebble rocks from craft stores... looks really nice... happy planning!!!
