Ask a Question
Anyone know how to make these or maybe just an idea?

I love these for the flower girls since it will be winter I plan to have them carry something like this instead of flower baskets only I have no clue where to get them or how to make them, If i can figure out how to make them I'd like to do one white, the second one blue and the last one silver but just a thought not sure how hard it is to make these. Any help would be great. Also anyone know any good places to find the wings for the girls?

personally i dont know, but what has worked for me is just taking a picture of something in to a craft store and asking an associate to point me in the right direction,
i was going to have a winter wedding and before i changed my mind i had decided to have the flower girls throw snowflakes!
winter weddings are so pretty

They kind of look like fur pomanders.  Other than wrapping fur around a foam ball with ribbon attached, I have no idea how you could make these.  You could get little fake-fur muffs for the flower girls...  sweetherb.com sells child-size muffs in white.

I was also wondering if maybe you could get a similar effect with a pomander ball made of white feathers?  That wouldn't be too difficult - just get a styrofoam ball and add a riboon and then cover it with short fluffy feathers.

check out Joann fabrics or Michaels. They might have those feather boas. Maybe if you got a few of those and somehow glued them onto the foam ball thingy?

I just wanted to say that I love this idea for your bridesmaids to carry.

It looks like some kind of faux fur.

I was originally getting married this Dec. 21st (I explained everything in one of your previous posts) and so I have plenty of ideas that I can share with you...these are really cute, but faux fur hand muffs and the shoulder wraps might be much easier to come by.  I was gonna have just plain muffs for the flower girls, and then muffs with flowers attached to them for myself and the bridemaids and it looks sooo gorgeous!! I'm gonna e-mail you some pics and ideas because they are just absolutely to die for!!  PS: You can thank me later ;-) lol!!

if the are hand muffs, its fairly easy.
first pick your fabric, craft stores or fabric stores or online are good.
second have your flower girl(s) fold there arms almost like a genie with finger tips in elbow crease measure from half way down there fore arm on one side to half way on the other. also measure around the two arms together.
get the appropriate material length and width.
then take the fabric and hold it so the fuzzy side is on the inside stitch a seem along the edge of the unfuzzy side so that the sides are open and the back and front are closed, if you want to ad a hanging ribbon now is when you do it, stich it to the seam in the shape of a loop that you have just made.
then turn the whole thing inside out so that now the fuzzy side is on the outside again you can then tuck the ribbon in side when the girls are using them, plus young distracted girls it will give them something to play with, then when you want to hang it you just bring the ribbon out and do so.
if your feeling ambitious when you stitch in the seam you could also stitch a little pocket in where you could put say a bracelet or something as her flower girl present.
hope this helps.
