Wedding Reception
My garter is here!!!!
I guess I am putting all my personal business out in the street. This was a hard decision for me because I really was feeling a classic lace garter, but I thought I'd mix it up and have a little fun! The Bulls are my FH favorite team...hope he likes it!

Unity Candles at a discount
Okay ladies...you know there are somethings that you skimp on right...well I am not about to pay $60 or even $30 for some candles that we are going to burn and sit them up in some cabinet only to stair and look at. I know the basis is "unity"...but if you are thinking that a candle lighting is going to be all you have to do to unite your families your mistaken...no no I get it...symbolisim...but this symbolism is coming at a discount for me and I must say I love this more than some of the high priced candles I have seen.
So here it is $12.99 from Garden Ridge pottery. I know it is a little hard to see but it has little crystals in the creases of the pattern... $20 total with the side candles...I think skimping worked for me on this one! |

Wedding Gift Registry
Done as far as I'm concerned
Wow....I had no idea Registering would be so draining...lol...It was fun but geesh...there was a lot of thinking involved. My FH coped out on me...lol. My mother and I end up registering at Bed, Bath and Beyond, Target and Walmart. We felt this way we would hit all price ranges.
So here is the deal...I ended up getting mostly bathroom and kitchen stuff. I threw a few board games in as well because we are all about game nights! I had no idea what table covers, place mats, napkins and all the decorative stuff I left for me to pick out later and as far as I'm concerned I have all the items I need for the bedroom. My mom did the scanning and a lot of the picking because I was like whats the best.So here is the run down of the places I went to: Bed, Bath and Beyond: - A little on the higher end of things for my crowd....Macy's and them are like what and what. It was like $49 for ONE set of utensils and $119 for one set of plates...ahhh. They have a cool thing that if you buy so much of certain name brands they give you something free. They also gave you a list of items you should gear yourself towards. Target: - My mom liked their scanner the best becuase it was like a gun...easy check out system. I have heard some bad things about their return policy so check that. I was not that concerned becuae I didn't get too many things there...games vaccum...some of the stuff that you don't want to pay an arm and a leg for, but also do not want to be too cheap on. Walmart: - Pretty easy set up as well...I got little odds and ends stuff from here...electric can openers, topperware and the like. Target and Walmart use the Kiosk...hated it...but it did not take to long. Bed, Bath and Beyond I went online before going into the store...walked to the desk and they gave me a scanner. Top loves: These non-stick pans my mom got and my blender/foodprocessor. Happy Shopping ladies! |

Wedding Invitation
They are in....but I hit my first bump
This past Wednesday my invitations came in...I was so excited. Here goes the drama...they had a champagne ribbon instead of the expresso brown ribbon I ordered...smh. Anywho...my mom decided we can just go to Michael's and get some ribbon. 1 bump solved right...
Next my dad decides that they need a little umph, so he decides he is gonna print out pictures and add an overlay..."If he likes it, I love it...I guess. My feelings....too much money for something people are going to chunk in the trash...sorry it's the truth |

Flower Girls
Finally Picked a dress!!!
Yesterday I had (3 out of 4) of my flower girls to try on dresses. The girls were so cute and they enjoyed feeling like litle princesses. Their parents and I decided on this cute little number from Alfred Angelos. I have 3 girls that are 4 and 5 and one that is 3. Th older girls will wear this dress in brown with burnt orange trim. The little one will wear the dress in burnt orange with brown trim. FYI...They have plenty of colors that you can mismatch ladies.
I assigned one mom the shoes, one mom the baskets, and the other mom hair ideas. |
