This is reginav's White Wedding!

I had my bridal shower last night that my friends put on for me. It was soo much fun. I felt pampered like a princess. Sat in this soft chair and enjoyed everything. How was yours?
My favourite game was, when we all got 25 questions about married life. My answers were 'right'. Everyone answered theirs, the ones with the highest scores got a price including me.

My fiance bought me my wedding band yesterday. It was such a happy moment. It looks stunning with my engagement ring. I am so happy with it. He got his wedding band too.
Amidst all this hard work and preparations, these are the good times of wedding planning.

I am really pleased with our reception catering company. They really want to serve us great food in a great atmosphere. Also, I am happy with my photographer, she is always available, communicates clearly and really wants to take pictures of us. Lastly, I can't wait for the limo service, I have never been in one. They also roll out the red carpet for the wedding party.

58 days to go! Time just flies.

Anyways, I got us all the accessories. This is our guest book, pen on a lace mat. I might sprinkle some red rose petals on it.

The pen cost a fortune, but I had to have it!

After hours of research I finally went out and bought our toasting flutes, serving set and ring pillow. I got them engraved, too. I think they'll be great keepsakes after the wedding. I got these at Sears, you know where you get your keys cut and stuff engraved.

I also got our pew bows at Michael's. Brought the 40%off coupon, and got 12 for $40 something which I think is a great deal. I really didn't want to spend much on these as I see no use for them after the wedding and they are so pricey everywhere I looked.

Wanted to order on wedding websites but really wanted to see what I was buying so ended up getting these in the store.

This is such a happy part of the wedding planning, getting your RSVP cards in the mail. It brightened my day.

Well I was well into planning our wedding, which is today 84 days away, thinking that I, a Canadian, will get the fiance visa to marry my American fiance, easily. I was so stressed about getting this and that for our wedding and ....
out of nowhere was having difficulty getting our visa due to some missing paperwork. It felt like I was never going to get this visa. During that time I realized, how blessed I was to be engaged and to actually enjoy the wedding planning process.

So today, I got my fiance visa. I am so happy, the wait is over - it took us 6 months to complete the process. I am viewing the wedding planning now with such joy and as a privilege. I have the wedding dress at home, altered and all, and can't get enough it.

What I am trying to say, enjoy planning for your wedding and don't take it for granted.

If any of you are involved in this process, feel free to ask me anything. Make sure you have all the paperwork, otherwise they will put you through a grinder and delays. Especially, letters of intent to marry from both of you and full evidence of support: income tax, pay stubs, letter from employer etc. They are very strict at the embassy.
