This is retro248's Pink Wedding!

I found these on the website for Home Depot. They are pewter house numbers. I thought these would make interesting table numbers.

I'm planning on wearing pieces that are vintage inspired such as chandelier earrings, etc.

I put together a storyboard collage of the look I'm trying to create. This is my first attempt with polyvore. This is a fun site to play with images, etc. I will post more as I get the hang of it.

Since my wedding is in the middle of August and is outside, I'm thinking about placing a paper fan at each seat with the program to help keep guests comfortable.

I just ordered these toasting glasses. They are antique wine glasses. They are pink glass with gold scrollwork.

I'm thinking of doing something like this. My wedding ceremony will be held outdoors and I like the vintage feel of the urns with the flowers and ivy.

I love the idea of washing the walls in pink.

My new obsession is with the Fleur Di Lis. I'm planning on using this motif on the programs, possibly the cake, etc.

I'm on the hunt for the perfect gold table linens. I'm drawn to a damask or brocade. I hope I can find what I'm looking for.

I feel it is the little things that make a reception great and memorable. For me it is a touch of whimisy such as a dyed pink slip, a sheet of kleenex in a velum envelope tied with ribbon, unique programs that double as a way to keep cool at an August outdoor ceremony, feathers, added sparkle, colored shoes. The last photo is a wedding off of stylemepretty.com, the bridesmaids wore leopard print shoes! These are the things I'm having a blast with.

I'm loving the died slip! Fabulousmrskleins is the best! Shout out to her FI Kevin for such a great job! Depending on the dress I pick out, I think I will do this.

I want a lot of candles. I have very little lighting in my room to begin with so I want to enhance it with candles. I found these pink fleur di lis glass votive holders as well as the gold ones which will go well with my theme.

I'm obessed with damask. I'm planning on having a damask tablecloth probably in a light pink or gold. I love the look of pink and gold together!

I'm thinking of using these in my photos with the bridesmaids.

I am the lucky recipient of a Mad Hatter's Tea Party bridal shower. We are planning on having miniture sandwiches cut into shapes such as hearts, spades, clubs and diamonds. We will also have scones with jam, tea, fruit, tarts and punch. We are going to flea markets to purchase vintage tea cups and saucers as well as tea pots. We also bought some cute clocks from Ikea to place on the table. The cups will have tags that say "Drink Me" and petite fours on the table with a sign that says "Eat Me". I will even have a Mad Hatter cake for dessert. We are even having guests move seats throughout the shower just like at the Mad Hatter's Tea Party. I'm so excited!

I like the idea of framed table numbers.

I'm undecided on bridesmaid bouquets. I do know they will be pink!

Since I love the Marie Antoinette theme. I thought it would be cute to have these fan shaped programs.

I'm loving monograms. Are you all as crazy about them as I am?

I have really enjoyed all the pink blogs out there! As most of my photos in my blog our photos from your blogs. I have always have loved the color pink. Infact, when my fiance and I first met I was obessed with the color. Even though I'm incorporating blue into my wedding, I will still use a lot of pink as well. Thank you to all the pink brides out there for your great photos.

My FI loves superman. He found this steel ring and he loves it. I think it is fun as well.

I'm thinking of wearing colored shoes. I like the fact that is unexpected. I'm thinking of wearing jewelry in a color to match as well.

Well, I have finally saw some photos of makeup that I like. I'm going for a more natural look. My FI doesn't like the heavy smokey eye look that I like.

Update** I have booked Laurie Tennent Studios as my photographer. I met with my photographer Branko Arsov yesterday and I'm very excited to be working with him. I'm planning on getting my engagment shot taken either late this summer or fall.


I have yet to select a photographer. I'm considering Jessica Johnson, Laurie Tennent Studios and MG Photography. I'm looking for a more artistic, photojournalistic style. I like Jessica Johnson's work but she is out of my price range. I have included some pictures below that I thought were really cool. I'm planning on showing them to my photographer.

Update**
Booked. I booked the Dj. They call him "Big Bob". He looks more like a bouncer and looks like he is a ton of fun. He is one of their most requested Dj's.

I saw this card box at a recent bridal show. It has 4 sides which you can insert photos. The top has a place to put cards into. The best thing is you can keep this in your home after the wedding!

I have yet to try on any dresses. I really am drawn to Maggie Sottero.

Update: 5/8/08:

I just met with my photographer yesterday, I'm going to be doing an engagement book. They will create a book of my selected engagement shots and it will have space around the pictures for my guests to sign. I'm really excited about this idea!

Update** Booked this place! My wedding date will be 8-15-09. I'm so excited. This mansion has so much history and character. It is the perfect setting for my theme!


Change of plans to my initial wedding site. The first place I looked at I found out you had to be Catholic to have your wedding there. Since neither myself or my fiance are Catholic, I have had to view other options. I will be visiting this reception and wedding site on Wednesday April 16th. It is an old mansion built in 1927 on 840 acres. It has been restored and houses this mansion and a carriage house as well as a golf facility. The Gazebo photo sits at the highest point on the property. I hope this place is the one!

I'm planning on wearing my hair down. My FI wants it this way.

So I have now decided to have a small 2-tier cake and a dessert buffet. I like the idea of all the bite size pastry's. It is perfect for my theme!

So many choices, I love the feathers!

I'm not set yet on my centerpieces. I know that I want a low arrangement. I love this picture as this is what I invision.

I'm having buffet style so I thought it would be nice to have a menu at each placesetting. I really like these chandelier ones from the white aisle. I will embellish it by adhering it to card stock and maybe adding some swarovoski crystals.

Update: They can do the scroll in gold!
