I have had letters made by Eventistas on Etsy to put behind the cake table. The letters will say "Let them eat cake" and they will be hot pink with the crystals like the ones in this photo. I can't wait to see them in person!

So me!
I found this fabulous inspiration board on Snippit and Ink. If you ladies haven't checked this site out, you should. It has so much inspiration. This board is so me! Also a shout out to my girl gratefulbride! I had to post the picture of the baroque chair with the chandelier. Wouldn't that be amazing to have.. sigh! So back to the board, of course it has all this great pink color I love and the elements of the crown and chandelier, tea cups, minture pastries.. so marie! My faves, the kissing booth sign and the bride with the cake. If I had had room to put in the photobooth I wanted so badly, I would have used this kissing booth sign. Candle Holders
I am so excited about my great purchase I have made. I got the small pink fleur di lis glasses from pier 1 on clearance for $1.68 a piece. They were orginally $4.50/pc. I will be using them as votive holders. My site is particular about candles and the wick has to be 3.5 inches below the rim of the glass. These are small tumbler glasses like juice size so I will not have any issue lighting candles in these babies. I had to go to several different Pier 1 stores to purchase and I still do not have enough to do every table. I do have enough to do every other table. So I will use different votive holders for the remaining tables.

I have been looking for the right favor package. I love these cupcake wrappers that you can use to put almost anything in. They look like little crowns. I will definitely consider these.

How to dress the ring bearer?
Attention ladies who are having ring bearers. How are you dressing them? Are you going with a traditional tux? I'm not into the whole bow tie thing and I'm not sure about shorts vs. pants. My little ring bearer will be about 3 yrs old. Since it is August, I may opt for just the shirt, vest and tie with the pants, no jacket. I also like the idea of converse chuck taylors for him to wear in blue. What are you ladies doing?

May have finally found my cake topper
Update: I bought the crown. Not sure if I am loving the gold. I may try to make it look more antique like not sure yet.
So I have been searching high and low for a crown cake topper that doesn't look like it is straight out of a beauty pagent. This one may be it!. I found it on ebay. It is matte gold with faux diamond embellishments. What do you ladies think?  |

Wedding Dress
Making progress..
I went to take my niece to see the dress, veil, etc today at the salon. I decided on a whim to retry the dress on after my first try on fiasco. Good news, I can zip it up! It is still pretty snug but I am making progress. By August it should be perfect if I keep up my diet and exercise routine. I'm relieved. Seven months to go... time to buckle down.

The sample is in yeah! Taking the girls to see it. The dresses will be ordered mon/tue. Crazy thing about 2009 styles, I can't find them out in the shops yet! I had one of my girls try on a similar style by the same manufacturer and we are going to just go a head and order this one in. I can't wait to see it on the girls. One fitting down, two more to go. I'm in a time crunch since one of the girls is leaving the country at the end of the month and will not be back until July.   |
