Our Wedding Day!
The day that I became Mrs Davis was a wonderful day! The weather had stormed that week but turned out to be a clear day and the evening was actually warm! Or maybe it was because I was under 5 layers of fabric!
I had such a great day and although there were a few hiccups I have chosen to focus on the positive and overall everything turned out as planned. The meal was awesome. It was the best piece of prime rib that I have EVER eaten, it was so delicious!! We are coming up on a month since our wedding day and we have set many goals for ourselves, including a larger home, planning a family and increasing my event planning business. I am so glad that I have 10 weddings (so far) to plan for 2009 so that I will be able to stay in the wedding mode. We hope you enjoy our pictures! Happy Planning Ladies!! Love, Mrs. D!! |

Our Rehearsal and Dinner
Ladies,
I am back from our wedding and honeymoon and wanted to let you know all about our fabulous weekend! It was so awesome to see so many people that we love so much in one place! The rehearsal went off without a hitch and the rehearsal dinner was soo good. Everyone loved the chocolate fountain and strawberry tree. Don was really surprised by his NASCAR grooms cake. |

Your planning has paid off
SHHH...I have a secret to tell you...We went to our venue and spied on the wedding there this past Saturday night. We really wanted to see what the venue looked like at night, and where they put the DJ. I am so glad that I have over-thought every detail and ensured certain things will look a certain way. I am so glad that the tent will be draped and we will have colored linens.
So tell me have you been sneaky like me and my FH and spied on a wedding at your venue? Did you get ideas or were you like me and thought that your wedding is gonna rock? I am so excited for our wedding in 5 days!!! |

Wedding Cake
What are you doing with your left over cake?
My awesome cake lady is making my cake way too big. I can tell just by talking to her because she is like me and wants a wow factor. I am now thinking of my precious cake in the hands of the staff at the venue. I don't know them I don't want them eating my sweet creation! We opted not to do favors but now I am thinking my favor could be my guests taking a piece of cake to go.
Have you ladies thought about what you will do with your left over cake? Have you seen cute boxes that would work? My FH and his fabulous engineering mind suggested paper plates with tenfoil...when I stopped laughing on the inside (tenfoil isn't getting within 100 feet of our wedding), I said "Hmmm that's an idea", and thought I'd better ask the ladies. I really like the box in the attached picture that I collected from somewhere (sorry if it belongs to you, let me know and I will give you credit) and I really like the label and ribbon that dresses up the box! Update: Over the weekend I went to Smart and Final and got a package of 120 take out boxes for $8.00. I went to Michaels and got 3 cardboard type sheets of paper for .30 cents each and made these cute labels which were glue gunned to the box! It came out so cute! We are volunteering at the mission on Thanksgiving so we will take the left over take out boxes with us to donate. Yeah ! I love it when a good plan comes together! |

NWR: Bridal Show went really well!
Hey Gals,
As most of you know, I am a wedding planner and I had my first bridal expo a few weeks ago. I had great responses and booked 7 weddings for 09 and have 3 contacts for 2010. I am only taking 10 weddings for 09 so I am sure that I will be full soon. As you know I am a cheerleader for my engineer FH who is an amazing man. He got a few of his engineering buddies together and they put my booth structure together. I was sponsored by the Home Depot (yeah them) and they found amazing wood that I didn't know even exsisted west of the Mississippi!! God has really blessed my business and its like they say do what you love and you'll love what you do! Hope you enjoy the pics! |

My new favorite bridal show!!!
My Fair Wedding with David Tutera
I am a TV wedding show junkie. I love Whose wedding is it anyway, platinum weddings and my new favorite show is My fair wedding with David Tutera. He is so talented and I love his designs.
The premise of the show is that he helps a couple 3 weeks before their wedding pull it all together. These girls really need help too, the one show I watched she had plastic purple flowers...YIKES! While he is helping them he also spoils them with cool gifts. He has to spoil them because 3 weeks prior to their event he CHANGES pretty much everything, in some cases, including the wedding dress! I pit myself against David and think what I would change and see if he does it! You have to check it out its on WE TV. Side Note: David Tutera is a total dream boat!! **Sigh** |

Its like a pond of sharks (maybe that's where the technical term comes from) waiting to attack. I like it here with my nice WBC brides.
