Booked the Church!

Almost.


FH and I are getting married at the same church where my parents were married and I was dedicated. I'm pretty excited about this, and I know this means so much to my parents as well.


The getting there has been a little bumpy, but I'm hoping that as of tonight everything will be settled down. I called them last year to place a deposit for our day because its a June 2010 wedding. The year we host the Olympics and a June wedding? Everything has been booked for months. The pastor said no problem, I'll put you on the calendar but come back in January to put down your depost. A little unsure, but having no choice in the matter, I agreed.

Turns out he never did put our name down on the calendar and it has been a frustrating few weeks trying to nail down our day and give them the darn deposit. But, as of today the paperwork is filled out and we have our reciept, so hopefully this will be the end of the drama and I can go back to being excited over getting the church!

Also, when you filled out the contract for your church (if you're using one) did they ask you a whole bunch of personal questions? Care Card Number, Parents Names (Maiden for Mother) and place of birth? What is up with that?
