All I can say is congrats! And the more you brainstorm and get done now the less you'll have to stress over closer to the wedding. :)

No, it's never to early to start planning. There will be less to stress about later.

Definitely not! I got engaged last year in July and our wedding is not until August 2009 - we booked our venue about a month ago and had to pick a sparate date because the date we wanted was already booked! It never hurts to plan early!

Same as the other girls. We got engaged in Dec 2006 and getting married Sept 2008. I started planning pretty much when we got engaged and I have just about everything done. Only little last minute stuff left to do and not stressed one bit. It's been so much fun just looking and of course changing my mind on things but take the time and make your decisions you'll be happier for it in the end. Good luck. : - )

Absolutely not. I had a year and a half to plan our wedding and here i am six months to the date of the event, and I am still not done. Have fun with it. If you plan just a couple things a week, you will be more less stressed then if you leave it to the end. Just don't start second guessing yourself as the days draw closer, or you will be in trouble, stick to what you chose, even if it were a year previous.

I don't think you can start planning too early.  Once you get started you will realise how many ideas there are out there and you will need the time to fine tune your choices.
