OUR LOVE STORY






We met in the 7th Grade in Middle School and lived in the B.V’s apartment complex. In 1983 (10th grade), I was hospitalized with an illness that almost took my life, but recovered back to 100%. During my 9 weeks of recovery, our HIGH SCHOOL raised money to help with the large hospital bills and Rodrick came in 1st place in the fundraiser and presented her with the check during a choir/band recital. That’s when sparks flew! Back then he was shorter than I and we kept our romantic relationship just between each other. He used to climb up into my patio bedroom window many nights and my parents never knew. But on the other hand, his mom and dad were very supportive of our relationship and made it happen if he was across town and would pick me up and take me to him. That's when we used to watch BETA movies! (LOL) We really couldn't get enough of each other! We had secretly dated until after high school and separated in 1985. Met up again in April, 1998 and was totally shocked that we both were expecting a bambino in June! We both were excited about this little creation and married each other May 1, 1999. Our love never ended, just bonded solid. Maya Angel was born shortly after, then Jewel Denise a year later. We never imagined that it would end up with you sharing with us our 10th year anniversary celebration!
