Wow. We're not as ambitious as you are! We're making our own food for the rehearsal dinner, but not the reception. Your pasta sounds delicious.

Making Your Own food?
To cut back on the cost of a cater, we're going for it! We love Pasta Milano so much at the Macaroni Grill that we want it at our dinner reception. It's expensive to buy it from them at $55.00 a pan for 8-10 people. I found the recipe on line and was really excited! I talked to my H2B again about this and he offered to do the grilled chicken himself, so we are going to create this menu ourselves! We'll be saving about $200.00 if we create this ourselves...

Ingredients 55 ounces butter 165 ounces grilled chicken, sliced 110 ounces sun-dried tomatoes 110 ounces mushrooms, sliced 3 1/2 cups finely grated parmesan cheese 330 ounces roasted garlic cream sauce 330 ounces bow tie pasta (about 6 oz. pasta per serving) italian parsley sprigs, if desired Directions 1 Cook the pasta as directed on package. 2 Meanwhile, sauté butter, sun dried tomatoes and mushrooms about 30 seconds. Add the roasted garlic cream sauce and Parmesan; heat thoroughly. 3 Remove pasta from water and drain. Add pasta to the sauté pan and mix well. Don't forget CHICKEN!
