Cake
SAVING!!! I'm changing to this cake...reason why?
We'll I wanted my fantasy cake 2 blogs below, but the rhinestones are so expensive at $200.00 alone and that's not including the cake! After calling around for a 60 person wedding cake, the going price is $388.00 with fondant and $330.00 for regular without fresh fruit filling.
BE CAREFUL, SOME CAKE COMPANIES TRY TO GET YOU 2 different cake companies tried to sell me 3 tier cakes (10 in, 12 in & 14 in) or (6 in, 8 in, 10 inch) totalling over $300.00! I didn't want to waste money having my guests disappointed in biting into fondant dough...."Something not really necessary." Being the Budget Queen, I had to come back down to reality and go another route... I have been so cramped with ideas that I have completely forgotten the name of my favorite cake place in Hayward, CA (about 90 miles from my town.) Last night, I was laying in bed talking to my H2B again trying to free my mind about all the wedding fiasco...AND IT FINALLY CAME TO ME! "Gala Shoppe & Bakery is what I was looking for in Hayward!" We have ordered from them in the past and all we had were comments on the delicious wedding and birthday cakes. I couldn't wait to call them today and ask about thier prices. With the amount of guests for our reception, I only need a 2 tier cake with 8 inch and a 12 inch squares. It has Lemon Moosse filling and whipped butter cream! Yummy.... Cost is $180.00 + delivery of $60.00 to my venue that is about 43 miles from the bakery location! I saved $100.00 dollars today! Good thing is: I love their cakes and it's worth the price! Delivery and set up from the bakery is $60.00 and worth it...Less stress on me! Bakery required a 30% deposit today, so I went on and paid 50%, so the balance will be paid of 4 weeks before the reception date. |
