Whatcha think: My Wilton Class 3 Cake~Tiffany Spring Wedding Cake
I GOT MY 3RD WILTON CERTIFICATE! YAYYYY! I wasn't going to take the course 4 class (Fondant & Gum Paste), but my instructor-{Pam Caraway} was mad at me for turning it down and pleaded with me to do it! I WILL! Remember how I wasn't set on doing wedding cakes, just cupcakes? LOL I've came a long way because of Pam! She's pushing me to do this and she feels that I can! Thank you, Pam! The biggest test for the class was, transporting the cake without failure! As you see in the slideshow, I made it home safely! HAAAAA! I DID IT! Also in the slideshow you see me and Rod cutting the cake together and going to the drive-in later in the back of our van with sleeping bags and pillows. Nightmare on Elm Street was the feature all cozy up together under the stars! Hehhehehe....He's so romantic! The ending slideshow shows other creations the other students made in class with the pillars. I didn't do pillars, because this is basically a trial run for me for my upcoming cake order. YESSS! I have my first wedding cake order for June 12th for a 3 tiered cake in pink and white! We'll ladies, enjoy my creation TIFFANY SPRING WEDDING CAKE! |

Our Wedding Anniversary Celebration!
Repost: How:Today makes 11 years of marriage!
LARHONDA & RODRICK'S 11TH ANNIVERSARY TODAY!!!! I've been distant for a while girls, busy to the bone. I had to post this for my love cakes. "HAPPY ANNIVERSARY, Darling!" We brought in our anniversary at midnite, doing some of my big orders of wedding fan progams, boutonnieres and he was joking with me about the mass production of us bringing in the anniversary this way. He put on, "Eye Of The Tiger" (the song in Rocky!) LOL I was really tired, but he was there to give me a hand with punching the holes as I cut them out. At about 1 in the morning, we turned in and woke up to the kids making us breakfast. Rod and I looked at each other and realized how different it is this year. Our babies are growing up (Maya & Jewel, 11 & 10 in a minute) and how wonderful it's been. It's been a long haul, but definately rememberable. We talked about the day we got married the first time in 1999 and it was beautiful spring weather on our wedding day in Lake Tahoe (Harvey's Top Floor Casino). At 9:00 in the evening was our scheduled wedding nuptials in front of our close family and friends of 24 guests with over 200 candles overlooking us and the scenery was gorgeous! When the ceremony was over, we went over to Josh's Restaurant for our mini reception and had champange (Cooks) lobster and steak for $9.99!!!!! What a deal huh? LOL My father in-law paid the bill for everyone as a gift! As we left the restaurant to go to a club over at Ceasars Palace, there was the weirdest wind chill! Snow flurries were dancing in the streets and at first we thought it was confetti. Rod has never seen snow until that day. LOL It snowed on our wedding day after having beautiful spring weather up there for the past couple of days! The next morning, we were awakened by laughter outside of our suite (Secret's Inn, with the hot tub in our room), we opened the door and it was a WHITE OUT! EVERYTHING WAS WHITE with snow. We threw omn some clothes and shoes and joined some of the guests and had a snowball fight! WHAT FUN! Anyways, I just wanted to share with you about our first wedding and it wasn't to exstravagant, but it was romantic! We've had two additional weddings since then and they've gotten better and better, what ever the budget allows. We've talked about doing the next one in 4 years at an island destination this time. He always wanted to do that from the beginning, so his turn will be satisfied. KNOWLEDGE: I know that it wasn't always easy and peachy-king. LOL One thing that has never changed was the love and support in our marriage. Also, he makes me laugh EVERYDAY! Sometimes our men drive us batty, but that all part of the package because I know I do the same. There is not a 100% perfect man out there girls. We have to learn and suck it in sometimes? I know we just don't know what to do, but just hang in there. WE LOVE OUR MEN, DON'T WE GIRLS! Well, I'm off to my last cake decorating class for my first two tiered wedding cake! Oh yea, I actually have my first cake order on June 12th! I'll post pictures later on. |

Rhonda: Take a peek at my Fondant Present Cake? Wilton Course 3
Whatcha think girls? Saturday's class was off the hook! I made my first fondant present cake! LOVE IT! It definitely makes the cake have a smooth texture and sheen appeal! I wasn't able to finish the cake in class, but had brought it home for to complete it.
