My Chocolate Pretzel Favors!!
 Shrrreeewwww! All the pretzels are done, bagged and refridgerating. Since they are so fresh and it's a 102 degrees outside, they will rest there until the weather cools down in the next couple of days. It took a good 4 hours to complete 90! Last trial run I did in October, the pretzels lasted a good month! |

5 Days Left: Time To Get The Cookin & Bakin!
Well ladies...5 days left and I can't believe it. Really, it's flying by fast now! I am so serious! We purchased over 20 lbs of chicken breasts yesterday for Hubby to start grilling on Wednesday for the Pasta Milano. OMG ladies, I didn't realize how expensive sundried tomatoes were? I needed 14 lbs and it was over $80.00 alone...YIKES...But it will be so yummy! Finishing up on the rest of the necessities this week, but in the meantime I have to start on the chocolate pretzels today and cookies tomorrow. |

I originally had some rhinestone clusters to wear, but dealing with my chandelier logos, I just had to top this off with chandelier earrings! I found these in downtown at a mom and pop antique store on sale $6.99 and the headbling is from a local hair supply store (.99cents each). These will be throughout my slick back hair style and my daughters will share these as well. |

Blinged Up Trays & Platters!!
I'm really done girls! I had to pick up some platters and trays yesterday for the appettizer~buffet table. I really didn't want silver tins platters from the party store, but I did find these at Smart & Final for $2.99 each! Came home and blinged them up! I really wanted the table to have that extra punch with a classier look than tin round platters. Am I blinging or what girls???? |

6 Days Left! How 2 Keep Buffet Line Down?
I really hate going to wedding receptions or parties and the buffet line is so long. How would you suggest a way to keep the lines from being so long? Our reception starts at 4:00-9:30. We are having horsdoeuvres, dinner, candy buffet, tea/coffee station and a punch table. Hubby thinks to just let the guests go up as they please from 5:00~ until. Any suggestions? UPDATE: I like the 2 sided table idea...Since we have 8 tables and 3 children's tables and the parents are responsible for making their children plates..How about letting 2 tables(16 + their children) up at a time? OR The ones that have children, go and prepare the children's plates first, then call on table by 2's. |

Budget Queen is Nervous...??
Ok ladies, I'm feeling really confident and I'm excited that it is approaching quickly...8 more days left! Yayy...BUT I'm a little nervous, not because of the ceremony or reception really. NUMBER ONE I'm nervous about the weather! It's 88 degrees today. Sunday I'm starting on the chocolate pretzels and the weather is supposed to hit 105 DEGREES that day. YIKES...Chocolate Favors and hot weather is not a good thing! I do have air conditioning thank goodness, but they will have to remain in fridge until it's safe???The weather for the rest of next week looks like high 80's and it's going to be tough. Hubby says, why don't you wait to make the pretzels on the cooler days. ARE YOU CRAZY! Do you know what I'm/we are going to be doing next week buddy? LOL Cookie baking on Monday so the icing will set perfectly for the trimming prep for Wednesday. NUMBER TWO Aunt Flow, Red Wings, Monthly time is due on the day after. YUCK! I hope it doesn't come on the day of...I will have to wear a back up pad just in case. I'm hoping that it will be delayed more than anything, but lately...It's been like clock work. 24th What else could I ask for? No Rain!!!! I'm still happy! What about you girls? Will you be experiencing your monthly on your wedding day? Isn't that terrible? |

10 Days Left!
Wow, I Can't Believe 10 More Days!!!
Officially it starts now! 10 days left and everything is just about complete. I have a slight sprained wrist wrapped up, but the show must go on!!! I must say all projects are done!!! I had some finishing touches to the seating chart, seating arrangements, r.s.v.p. changes (2 cancelled, can't get off work, so we added on 2 others to fill the seats)...Yeah, yeah, yeah but it's worked out now. Of all the worries in the world, the seating chart was HARD! All is said and done and faxed off to the venue. NO MORE CHANGES! Dealing with peoples personalities, who knows who, etc...I must say I'm very glad of what has been accomplished so far. We are getting calls on what we need as a gift, bed sizes, or gift cards wanted???That's good, so I know it's not a third toaster. LOL Worried about next week...but it's better than rain? The weather will hit 90's!!! Wooot Wooot...!! THINGS LEFT TO DO:Venue Balance Paid Breads ordered yesterday Hubby's vest and tie order Son's suit (he doesn't want one) Chocolate Pretzels on Sunday Baking Cookies on Monday (while kids at school) LOL Food Prepping all next week |

Lost 16 Pounds!!
Tried On My Dress! Perfect!!!
 When I bought my dress in May last year it was tight. I sware I wasn't able to eat anything and be comfortable in it! I started my slow down on my favorite foods: Ice Cream, Potatoes, Breads...Ate more grains as Oatmeal, Zoom, Cream of Wheat in the mornings and chicken salads in pita bread sandwiches for lunch, dinner salads only for 2 nights a week and splurge on designated days. I hate working out! I don't excercise, but I do lift weights periodically. Tried on my dress yesterday..Oh my goodness! IT'S PERFECT! It's a little roomy, but comfortable. Hubby told me I lost to much weight, but I know my body and I like it! I did loose my beautiful, bulumtuous butt...But it's ok. I'm able to fit back into my size 12 almost 10 jeans!When I first started I was a 16-18 and after buying a 16 wedding dress, it was a wake up call. I have never been that big before. I guess being home unemployed since February 2008 you can add on some depressing pounds??? Now, I can eat whatever I want at the reception and that's Pasta, breads with garlic butter, cake and the candy buffet! WHOOOWHOOO! Come to me baby! |

Ordered: Breadbowls & Cheese Breadsticks
All next week is food prepping time! I went by the bakery today and ordered 10 Spinach Breadbowls (Dutch Crunch & Sourdough) for my hubby's request. I also ordered 100 fresh cheese breadsticks to be added to the main coarse which will be sitting in garlic~butter for the reception! Whoowhooo! They'll be ready for pick up next Friday 8:00 a.m. (May 22nd). The bowls will be gutted and stuffed with hubby's requested spinach dip! Ummmmmm...good! |

I have to vent ladies, excuse The Budget Queen for a few minutes? What would you do? I called and talked to my contact at the venue. Everything is a go, but since we are decorating ourselves, purchased the $1,000,000 dollars of insurance for that day, there is a cash bar...I asked her two simple questions. Do you guys have a microwave on the premise? Do you guys have a mop handy, just in case of a spill? She answered, "We'llllllll...I wouldn't use the microwave??They don't take care of it that well here!" WTF????? "There is a mop here I guess? It's in the janitorial closet and it's always locked." WTF AGAIN??? "The mop is kind of squaggaly?" she says. DO YOU MEAN TO TELL ME, THAT WE HAVE TO BRING OUR OWN MICROWAVE AND MOP AND BROOM? I was so shocked that I couldn't even talk any further. I did ask her, you are kidding right? She was serious!!! THEY ARE GOING TO HAVE TO OPEN UP THAT CLOSET THAT DAY...I'M SORRY...DOG NABBIT! |
