Ask a Question
There Must Be Spinach Dip!!Please?

Has your FH, (Hubby) requested something on your table for eating on that day?
My Hubby is so funny...We were going over the appetizers for the reception during our ceremony and slightly afterwards while mingling with our guests. "Honey, there must be Spinach Dip, please?" he requested.

We'll get about 10 sourdough bowls with his requests on the appetizer table, along with the gourmet cheeses, meat & vegetable selections. We're still putting it together...LOL

Main entree remains the same, but we must have spinach dip!
UPDATED 5/11/09:
Went to the bakery today and special ordered 10 bread bowls to be ready for picked up next Friday morning!

Had To Add These!!
Dressings & Parmesan: For the Buffet Table

Instead of displaying bottles of salad dressings and cans of parmesan cheeses, I grabbed these from the .99 cent store to add just a little more class on the buffet table. I thought about those cute pouring dishes for the tables, but I didn't want to take away from the decor on the tables. Plus I couldn't find the ones I was really looking for...So, the guests can help themselves as they get their Pasta & Citrus Garden Salad.

Taking A Break!!
Where did you guys eat on the 1st date?

Just trying to veer off from the stress for a minute or two? Where did you guys eat on the 1st date?

I remember he took me to Thanh Long's in San Francisco. They have the best garlic roasted crab and garlic noodles that make you want to slap the cook twice!

I love this place, we usually go on anniversaries, bithdays, but at $35.00 a crab...Whooooowhooo!

I'm just curious did you guys have seafood, burgers, mexican, indian, thai, or whatever?

GOH Gift Purchased!
Story: Secret Gift For Guest Of Honor!

I'm not putting the picture of the gift up yet, but here's the box...I do have snoopers..(GOT YA!) My son and 2 daughters are so sweet and used their allowance monies along with my help to get our GOH a nice gift. If it wasn't for Loyce (83 years old), my hubby and the children wouldn't have been here to celebrate our 10th Anniversary! LOL

I was going through a tough time while living with Loyce back in 1997 while divorcing my ex. I was working and she babysat my 3 year old son at the time. I ran into my ex-boyfriend (hubby now) at a Mexican Restaurant in Alameda and we exchanged phone numbers. I wasn't going to call him because I was not interested in getting into another relationship, especially since I was going back and forth to courts. She pulled me to the side and expressed that I needed happiness in my life, then ordered me upstairs to call Rodrick. I was hesistant, because of starting to date all over again...What was I to say? What was I to express?

I made that call and it was the best day of my whole life. We talked on the phone for 3 hours, just like how we did in high school! LOL I don't remember the conversation and he doesn't either. I do know that, I was not thinking about falling in love so soon or ever again. It was me and my son against the world. He asked me could he win my love from my captured heart that was totally broken from my previous marriage. So, he proceeded to ask me on a date that weekend and I accepted and it was history ever since! I am so blessed that Loyce guided me to my hubby. If it wasn't for her, it would of never happened. I know it!

Completed: Officiant Thank You Cards

Since we had some changes on ceremony plans, I created these to place on all seats at the reception. We are having our vows renewed at the same venue, so...this is a thank you to Rev. Derrick Mann for renewing our vows. We've known him since high school! LOL

Wedding Cake
Our Cake Confirmed With Measurements

I want extra cake! I Love Our Bakery! Their the best in the Bay Area...Not dry, super moist, flavorful and off the chain. Everything confirmed with our bakery that is 100 miles from us. Yes, 100 miles! Their about 40 miles from the venue. LOL The square cake shown (Chantilly Lace) will feed 92 guests. I also made a 5 inch tall platform to raise the cake a bit. Our cake is an 8 inch & 12 inch that reaches 6 inches tall for each square cake totalling 92 servings...Whooowhoo!!
Flavor: Lemon Mousse Filling, White Cake, Whipped Buttercream Frosting
8 inch = 32 servings
12 inch= 60 servings
Cost: $230.00 (including delivery)

I'll share the name of the bakery after the wedding. Don't want stalkers to mess our plans up!

Seating Arrangement Site
I Used This Site 2 Organize My Guests

http://www.seatingarrangement.com/

This program helped me with:
1. Guest List for venue
2. Seating Arrangement Plan
3. Layout of floor plan
4. Thank You Cards

I've been using this site to help with keeping my guest list organized. It also makes R.S.V.P. cards with your menu selections, keeps track of who R.s.v.p'd and more. After forming the guest list first, you can create your floor design and name your tables with guests. Love this program, but you could only use it one time or your will lose your information.

Had 2 Make More (Mini)Menus!!

Ok as the clock is counting down, I have been double checking my creations, so I had to create more menus. We've reached our final count (85 guests), since last weeks count was 81, here comes the late straglers R.S.V.P.ing a week late...Isn't that funny? YEA RIGHT! So, I opened up factory this weekend and got busy!I didn't want to buy anything else, so I created minis for 2 additional tables!

My Blinged Up Paper Bells 2/$5.99!

I'm not a real fan of paper bells, but since we are renewing our vows at the reception, I needed to focus more on an area for the vows. The guests will be seating to the right of the 2 large rooms with the dance floor in the center and the buffet table against floor windows. The dance floor will be the focal point of the renewals...So, I bought these 15 inch bells (Party City) to be placed in between the two chandeliers, with the effect of the long strand pearls and silver beads underneath the bells.

20 Days Left~Back From Celebrating Anniversary

Wow! Did hubby and I enjoy ourselves for our 10th Anniversary! Nothing really much to brag about, our refridgerator that we bought 9/16/08 went out and we were not happy! We had to take it back to the appliance store after renting a U-Haul...Exciting huh???LOL

Anyway, we still enjoyed each other as much as we could.

20 Days left ladies! OMGOODNESS! I can't believe it! Our R.S.V.P. cut off date was April 23rd and we received one for two yesterday and two additional children were added day before yesterday! LOL LOL Can you believe this R.S.V.P. jazz? We had to arrange a couple of seated guests and it better be the finale! Now we have 85 guests attending. Auggghhh! Anywho...I'm doing a few more odd and ends for the reception coming up...
