My Original Venue Thinks I'm Stupid?
 As you ladies already familuar with my old venue at Yacht Club has been recently getting on my nerves. In a previous blog, I mentioned to negotiate with your venue, because the economy is bad??? Well, they have been blowing me up with phone calls. We are going to look at the new venue (The Mansion) on Saturday. I've never told the original venue that we were not going with their venue, so they are just hanging on thin thread right now. Anyway, this past week I heard the original venue HAD A FIRE a couple weeks ago and they NEVER TOLD ME! LOL OHHHH, now they want to talk?  I was totally shocked hearing about this, apparently they had a fire on the marina and 4 yachts were burned and there was 1 DEATH!!!!! Since this happened, I was wondering why they have been leaving me messages about sending in the rest of the monies owed. I still have a window of paying the venue by April 1st....Thank God! Anyway, I think it's kind of rude of them to bug me about paying the venue in full!! Shouldn't they have mentioned about the fire and the death to me? We could see the burned marina from our sweetheart table!!! LOL I received another call today from that venue and they said that they are willing to drop $200.00 from the deposit money now. Still no word or heads up on the fire damage!!!! I just think it's funny now, how they want to negotiate their venue? So, this Saturday we are confirming about the Mansion, which I really think its a go! They say we can have our champagne, with no charge of corkage fees and an open bar as we supply our own. LOL The original venue was springing a corkage fee of $15.00/bt each that we brought into their facility. LOLLOLLOL! |

They Arrived!
The Linen Napkins Arrived From Efavormart
Here they are! They arrived today in a UPS shipment and that was fast! I ordered these Friday and they only charged $4.95 for shipping! I must say, the quality is very nice! Restaurant Quality for sure and not cheap at all. This is the best price for a pack of 5 @ $3.50! These match the tablecloth linens perfectly in material wise. I highly recommend these as a 10! Now we have to figure out on how to fold these babies? |

Change Of Tux...Well, We Bought This!
Why is it that my dress was cheaper than RENTING his tux? LOL! After serious shopping for the correct tux for hubby, we settled for this beauty and it has a total different look than what I planned, but we're happy with this decision. We went to a couple of tuxedo shops and didn't find anything appealing. The actual tuxes that I picked out did NOT look like the picture. The silver/gray was a difficult task. My hubby kept saying he didn't feel comfortable in the color and I agreed, because the rental fees were also high. It just wasn't the right vibe. So, after an exhausting day of tux fittings, we went to lunch and decided to go into Burlington Coat Factory just to look. Wholla! Prices under $200.00 was excellent! They had a really nice line of formal suits there, because Easter is right around the corner or something...Anyways after trying on more gray suits, it wasn't happening! He wanted to try on the black ones and WOW! That was it! So....Here we are! He's wearing Black, with Aqua tie and vest (rental) $17.50 and white shirt. PLUS IT'S A KEEPER! He can keep this one at $169.00! Which one are you doing, renting or buying? |

Budget Queen: These Are My Girls!
Please excuse my messy background. Spring cleaning in my room. LOL Found my other dress for my babies yesterday! Burlington Coat Factory has it going on! $39.99 was the purchase price on the one to the right. The other dress to the left was the one I found at a Goodwill for $5.00 a few months back. Excellent condition! No Maid of Honor and no bridesmaids. Meet Jr. Bridesmaids Maya and Jewel....my babies! These are our two creations over the 10 years and they are my heart! I can not complain not one bit and excellent students too. Also, we just found out that our oldest daughter LaRhonda Jr. (LOL) long story is getting her (AA degree) in Psychology in June! YAY for her!!!!!So proud! Maya and Jewel are so excited and very eager about the upcoming day. They are the ones that wanted to be a part of the 10th Year Anniversary Reception. It's funny, they can't wait to see mommy and daddy get married! |

Thinking, Cramming and Confirming!
I've been kind of low key ladies, I drop in from time to time...Checking in on my girls. The past few days since our romantic date, I've been thinking, cramming and making decisions. Since the wedding is now 65 days away, just finishing up on certain things. AUGGGH! I've gotten the rental quote list down $250.00! YAY! We are going with some plasticware for the dinner. We're going with the China and goblets, but the rest is bought plasticware. Still is pretty... I haven't heard for the job interview yet...So, we have to condence things a bit, but it's going to be fabulous! Making confirmation on venue this Saturday! YAY! I'll check in from time to time. |

Budget Queen: Here Is My $1.00 Veil!
Since I did my own facial yesterday, I decided to at least share my $1.00 veil with you, since my $75.00 dress is top notch secret. No, the veil was not from the Dollar Tree...LOL Hubby actually saw it at a yard sale in a box (brand new) and brought it to me. Of coarse I had to add bling to it with Rhinestones and fabric glue completed the look. I was thinking about wearing my hair up, because I'm also wearing a tiara. I don;t know yet? I haven't taken it out yet so it won't turn yellow. I've heard other brides experienced that. So, it won't be unwrapped until the day before. |

Here Is My 1st Facial! Me & Hubby Have A Date!
Well, we weren't able to celebrate Valentine's Day due to the wedding coming up in 68 days. Tonite we are going to my friends ROMANCE PARTY for couples only. (Nothing dirty, but just a romance party with romantic food, wine, champagne..Yayy! No kids!!) For the wedding, I will be doing my own makeup, so I did my facial today with the false eyelashes, eyeshadows, foundation and eyeliner. This is called the smokey look. What cha think ladies? I will talk more tomorrow, if he lets me? UPDATED 2/22/09 Sheila, thank you for such a wonderful evening. You did it up! The food was banngin! We had a wonderful night! We played the Newlywed Game and came in 3rd place! Very nice people we met and had so much fun. |
