Bridesmaid Crisis!!!!!!!!
My wedding is less than a month away and I have a big crisis...three of my bridesmaids ordered their dresses back on Jan 4th...but my maid of honor's grandmother passed the day before that so she couldn't...she ordered her dress on Feb 8th but didn't receive a shipping date...now she found out that because Alfred Angelo's dresses are shipped from China...the Chinese have a new years holiday and will be closed for the entire month of Feb...so the soonest they will get a dress is the 19th of March...four days after the wedding...and my little sister, another bridesmaid...which has not ordered a dress...now my question...the only place I can get a dress close to the look of the Alfred Angelo dress is....David's Bridal...which does not carry Fuschia dresses...similar colors but not exact colors...so should I add this cognac color...and add the cognac sashes to the Fuschia dresses...also adding another girl...so I can have three with fuschia/cognac sashes and three with cognac/cognac sashes...Or should I put three fuschia/black sashes and three in black/black sashes...the dress doesn't come in a lot of colors...so should I do better adding another color pink or a bolder color like cognac or black....by the way I HATE IDEA OF BLACK DRESSES IN MY WEDDING...

i wouldn't do anything you'd hate (i.e. adding black dresses) because each time you look at your wedding pics you'll cringe.  i'd add the cognac color and perhaps another girl.  at first i was thinking you could just stagger your bridesmaids (one fuschia dress then one cognac but then i saw that your MOH will have a cognac dress and that will mess up the whole order...wow we really do sound like brides lol).   so if you have anyone in mind i'd go ahead and ask them now and perhaps get them a little something extra for their bridesmaid's gift for helping you out in a pinch.  if they get their dress at david's bridal and it's in stock it shouldn't be too much of a rush.  GOOD LUCK!

wow that's a tough one...I'm sorry to hear you have to go through something like that so close to your wedding. I do agree that you shouldn't put anything you don't like in your wedding. I think the cognac would be nice and I wouldn't even bother with the sashes, but I would consider trying to match the guys to the girls a little with some kind of cognac component.

My other suggestion is to go to smaller boutique stores to see if they carry fuschia dresses ready to be carried out the store. I'm not sure what's in your area but there are a lot of smaller independent stores that sell party/prom dresses around in my area that you just go in and buy off the rack. Do you have anything like that close to where you live?

I agree with Ericka and Marta on not going with black if you don't like it (although, I think it would look nice). I also agree with Marta on the sashes. David's has great service (at least when I went the past two (and only) times!), so good luck!

well I think I might have to go with the black...I'm kinda scared to go with the Cognac...because of the pink brown and black tuxs....NO...I don't know...I was looking for dresses that look similar but by different designers, in the same color...in response to one of the comments...I do have boutiques in my area...but I live in Texas...and the girls live in Louisiana...so I can go and shop around but not with them or anything...and I'm a really visual person...so I have to see it first...

Instead of doing a totally different color couldn't your MoH just have another color pink? She is the maid of honor after all and is allowed to look different. That way u don't have to throw in a completely other color this close to the wedding!

wow i would freak out! 3 in one color and 3 in another is a good idea though. I know its weird to have black in a wedding... just doesn;t seem right.

You can maybe have a lighter pink...David's bridal has the color "watermelon" that is a little similar to fuschia.. or you can go with a baby pink... My wedding colors are fuschia also and my MOH is going to be wearing a different shade of pink..

Hey Rondalyn,
Thanks for the advice on my dress! I was lucky enough to already try on the dress and it seems that the US size 4 will be perfect. I tried on a 6 and it was big so they suggested going a size down. The dress looked stunning!!
Did you try Ebay for your BM dress? I've seen quite a few AA dresses on Ebay! Good luck!
