i got mine from Michaels and many people told us they were the best invitations they had ever seen :).  not counting postage, we spent about $150 on the kits with a guest list of about 300.

I actually run a freelance design business so I did my own. Basically after paper and printing cost mine were about 60 cents each and that's counting accomdations car, rsvp, invite, and envelope! I think they turned out great and everyone seems to really like them. There's pick on my blog...I recently posted last week...simple and elegant was my plan and I think I achieved it!!

As for DIY kits, I've never done them but have heard a ton of ppl mention theirs we're from Michaels...but on a recent trip to Target I noticed they had a ton of CUTE kits as week.

From a budget point...avoid doing square bc they cost 20 cents more each to send...they require a 64 cent stamp bc they are "nonmachineable," which would cost you $40.00 just in postage.  I also recommend doing postcard rsvp cards instead of envelopes bc you have to use a regular 44 cent stamp whereas a postcard stamp is only 28 cents...so for 200 that would save you $32.00!

Last but not least when you do DYI it is always a good idea to make up on official invite and post office weigh it...bc if there's a lot in it then you will be needing more postage than just the regular 44 cent stamp. The last thing I would want is a box of invites stamp return to sender or have it left postage due for the guest. So always good to double check!!!!
