I wore this in my October 2010 wedding, but can't justify holding on to it to collect dust. It was a size 10, but has 2" taken in on each side, making it more like a 6-8. The dress has a lot of give thanks to the corset lace-up back. It is hemmed to a 5'2". I had a cathedral bustle added. If you would like more pictures, please let me know. I also had the seamstress tack down the strap, but this can be easily undone. It originally snapped into place. It has been dry cleaned.
Asking price: $450, shipping included

We also have:

10 white floor length table cloths (fits 60" tables).
Asking price: $10 each, shipping included

Sterling silver cake stand that I will have to measure.
Asking price: $35, shipping included

Wedding Food
Rehearsal Dinner
I am thinking of getting Sonny's BBQ to cater our rehearsal dinner because
a) it's cheap
b) the deliver and
c) who doesn't love BBQ in the south?

Since we are renting a house for 3 days, including the day before the wedding, I figured it would be best to just have the rehearsal dinner there.

Also, I am thinking of getting Panera to cater breakfast the morning of the wedding. We are getting married at 2 in the afternoon, so I don't think I want to do lunch. I am thinking more of something like a 10:30-11:00 brunch.

What are you ladies doing?

Wedding Plans Ruined!
Oil Spill in the Gulf
We have been lucky thus far that the oil spill hasn't washed up on our beaches until this point. However, news broke 2 days ago that tar balls were starting to wash up. We live on Panama City Beach. It took around 40 days for the oil to get here, but since it's here, it won't be going anywhere soon.

The first picture I added is not from the gulf. It's from the Korean Oil Spill in 2008. That's what a beach looks like when it is covered in tar balls.

The second picture is from a local newspaper. It is a single tar ball that washed up on shore a few days ago about 30 minutes from here.

The third picture is also local. Obviously, we are going to see a lot more of it.

The last picture is a pelican in Louisiana that is drenched in oil.

We had plans of doing a huge crayfish boil for our wedding, needless to say we already knew we had to change our plans.

We have already booked the house that we were planning to get married in, along with a $2,500 deposit. Now we are unsure as to whether or not the beaches will even be open.

They will close the beaches to the public within the next few days.

We have no idea what to do. We don't even know where to start.

The entire wedding was pretty much planned, and now we are going back to square one.

We live in a tourist town. Numbers are already down due to this, and they are only going to continue to plummet. Financially, we are all unsure.

Just thought I would share, so you ladies know that this oil spill isn't just "something in the news." It's having a huge impact on our whole community.

White Honeymoon Booked!!

Honeymoon
Booked!!
So, as some of you know, I am surprising Brandon with a honeymoon! I plan to tell him at the reception, or as part of his wedding gift right before the ceremony. I am thinking something like the Mickey and Minni bride and groom ears since we are going to Disney. Any ideas?

I booked our plane tickets last week and I booked our hotel today. I opted for the romance package with champagne and roses.

Here is where we are staying:

Let me know what you think and suggestions for how I should surprise him!

Wedding Dress
It's here!!
My dress just showed up at the door. Only had to wait 5 days and it is everything I expected and more!!!

I ordered it from a girl in Canada who had bought it, but decided to go more traditional for her wedding.

Brandon has seen the dress, just not me in it. We are saving that for the wedding day!!

Ahhh I'm so excited!!!!

Wedding Gift Registry
Really?
When do you normally make your registry?

We have been living together for almost 2 years, so we really don't need anything. What do people do if you don't make a registry?

The other picture is my favorite BM dress at the moment. It would be espresso in color though, not blue!

Change in Plans
No More Black and White
We decided that the whole black, white, and red thing would be extremely time consuming and difficult to pull off considering the way the house that we are having the reception at is decorated. We are changing our colors to the brown palette, including brown, champagne, tan, creme, etc. There may be other natural colors included like yellow and green, but I haven't thought that far ahead yet.

I added some of our inspiration pictures. We want it to be a natural themed wedding. I am very excited to plan it!

Save the Dates
Almost in the mail!
This has been a 2 month process and FH still hasn't gotten all of the addresses that I need. However, today I sat down and addressed and sealed the ones that we do have. When we were in Michael's this week I found a "Save the Date" stamp for $1 so I bought it and stamped the back of the envelopes with it. I think they turned out pretty well! They are magnets, but I haven't gotten to try them out because all of our kitchen appliances are stainless steel and not magnetic.

Wedding Invitation
Message in a bottle
I originally found these on a DIY invitation site. They will be perfect for a beach wedding!! After a lot of research, I found a website that I can buy the glass bottles, corks, sand, shells, raffia, and mailing boxes all together for around $150 for 100 invitations! I am so beyond excited. The best part is the place that sells them is only about 2 hours from here so I can actually drive to go pick them up instead of paying shipping to my house. However, shipping them out to everyone is a different story.

I think I am going to add some sort of charm like there is in the picture, but not use beads. I ordered the sample pack that the site offers and was playing around with it. I think if I add a black ribbon behind the raffia it will tie our colors in a little.

I need to go ahead and order these so I can get started because I can only imagine how time consuming it will be!
