I need help find a song for our first dance. Brett and I listen to indie/emo. None of the music we listen to is on the radio. I don't want anything mushy/cheesy. I want something pretty/romantic. for example Somewhere over the rainbow Hawaiian version. (Im using that some place else. Please please help!!!!!!!!!!

So main color pistachio, and tea rose (pink). Accent fuchsia and purple. I have a color swatch but the picture it hard to see so I am showing them in the bridesmaids dresses.

Okay so you just have to trust me on the colors. The internet just doesn't do them any justice.

So i have always known I wanted Somewhere over the rainbow by IZ played sometime at my wedding. I think what I am going to do it have "Somewhere over the rainbow" by Ava Cassidy play while the bridal party walks down the aisle (slower tempo) Then when I walk down the asile I am going to play the song "At last" by Etta James or an instruments version if I can find one. When the wedding is over and right when we are introduced as Mr. and Mrs. Brett Murphy I want the Hawaiian Somewhere over the rainbow to start and we walk about to that. Its up beat and heart warming... PERFECT!

Brett and I would have our own vase with sand inside (each vase has our name on it) then we would pour our sand into the middle vase that says Murphy on it. Resulting in the sand mixing ( our separate lives becoming one.)

I know I have some Shepard's hooks that I can use. So this might be an idea to line the aisle.

I am so excited about my gifts to the girls. I bought them off of the knot.com. I waited till the ones I wanted went on sale and I got them for a great deal!!!! Each flask has the girls first initial.

I would like to have my hair half up and loosely curled.
I want mine to look a lot like this. Ignore the flower and imagine the other side would look like the side you can see.

So I hate cake. I don't think it's all that wonderful, I mean I'll eat it during the cake cutting, but after that no thanks!!! I wanted to do cupcakes because I feel it's unique and fun, but I was told by somebody they would be offended if they were given a cupcake. So I have to bite the bullet and get a cake. I have a meeting with the cake lady on Monday the 25th. I am hoping to do something like the picture. I just want like a 2 tier and then sheet cake for everybody else. (sorry people but im not spending $500+ on something I don't even like.
So ignore the cupcakes and look at the little cake on the side. I want something like that.

Phil is going to do our invitations. They are going to sorta of look like the one in the picture. Of course it will be a wedding invite instead of a greeting card :) We will be taking our engagement picture in the spring.. I wanted COLOR!!!!

OKay as you guys know I was stuck between tow dresses, one at davids bridal and the other a Alfred Angelo. Well DB discontinued the dress I liked so we are going with the AA. It will be a sort of mint green/ clover. I need to look color swatch to make sure i get the right color.

I could not even tell you how surprised I was went I saw the dress that would become THE DRESS!!! After trying on about 12 dresses and thinking I had found "the one" I saw another girl wearing this Maggie Sottero "Vienna" It is beautiful. I never thought i would like a dress covered in lace but this dress is amazing the pictures just don't do it justice.

On Aug 5, Brett asked me to marry him on the beach in Lincoln City Or. It was the most perfect proposal I could ever ask for.
