Ok, so I'm sure many of u have changed ur centerpiece idea a million times over...I am NO EXCEPTION! lol...at 1st iJus could not decide on one. Then the FH saw and loved the Huge Martini glass idea. My MOH, who is also my sister and doubling as my planner, thought it was tacky! I'm like, "No its not!" Her being the big sister (by 9yrs) of course made me wonder whether or not she was right. I thought, "maybe we'll look like drunks!" But despite her remarks, I went with my 1st mind and my FH input. It's rare that he steps in on any wedding planning, which I love bcuz it gives me total control and also lets me kno tht he trusts my taste, so I figured maybe he was on to something. Pic #3 was the idea. Add an submersible light and darken the rm and tht was the look we wanted. Well once I visited a local linen company to discuss our chair cover and table cloth needs, she had my idea on one of her tables for display. I sat down and to my surprise, the glass was too freggin short! I should have known but of course when u have ur mind made up, there's nthn but a slap n the face tht can change ur mind lol...The lady goes, "yea dear, tht is the worse vase u can chose. It hits right @ eye level. *bubble busted!* I go over to another table in her showroom tht i'd been eye-balling since I walked n and got my next and FINAL (hopefully) idea. It was pic #1 with pink and green floral wire twisted inside the glass like a tornado effect, with a pomander ball on top. It was flamingo theme. I was in love! It was so diy and such a no-brainer idea! I'm like y didn't iThink of tht! Bcuz my wedding color r Hot Pink &Black, I was thinking of doing a pink pomander ball and get some black and silver glittery wire. Once iTold my sister, she hopped right on board. Sadly, I've already purchased abt 10 of the martini glasses and have no use for abt 8 of them. 2 can be used on the candy buffet. Not sure wht I'm going to do with them...maybe sell them to buy the other ones? Anywho, once iCame across this site iSaw pic #2. Its abs gorgeous, BUT its too short. How can iCombine the idea iGot from the linen company's display and the one iGot from the lovely WBC bride FutureSturgeon?? Any creative advice ladies?
