OK ladies, I'll admit that I have never heard of this at a wedding until abt a week ago. I thought it was a brilliant idea considering my brother just took his life May 4, 2010 while I was pregnant with his niece. He was a solider in the US Army but was getting ready to go into another branch in the military. My was beyond hurt and torn. I didn't know what to do, who to blame, or how to go on. Through me and my FH's daughter, I found strength. At the time, I didn't know she was girl just yet but I knew somehow, he'd live thru our unborn blessing. So when I ran across the memory table idea, I was sold. I thought it was a gr8 way to honor hima nd others that we have lost. When I told Jamar, he was way weird-ed out by it lol...he thought it was a collage of pics of all our deceased relatives. Once I researched it, I learned that sometimes, that can be true. It just depends on the couple's preferences. But being that the pic I have posted is the one I saw when I told him, I told him 'nooo, that would be too sad'. We both agreed that our motive wouldn't be to bring up emotional times but to show our families that we still love them and want to honor them. MOVING ON--->SO, I'm thinking floating candles, with diamond at the bottom of the vase. Kinda like my original centerpiece idea. Then an escort card with:
Their Name
Relation to the Bride/Groom
Birth-Rest
My Genius Co-Worker Eugene wrote this poem for us (right off the top of his head!!)
As this journey we embark
In our deepest heart of hearts
We remember ones we love
They're in heaven, up above
We sincerely hope & pray
On this most of joyous day
The ones God chose to depart
Still RSVP'd in our hearts...?
