Wedding Invitation
Monogram Stickers
I don't really know what I'm going to use these for, but I couldn't pass up the deal. The invitations come in pack of 10 for $1.00. They slide into the vellum and come with a white envelope for mailing. The monograms are acid free. They include 2 large, 26 medium and 24 small letters. These were .50 cents each. All from the Dolar Tree. They also had the same two heart design pillow boxes that I'm going to go back to get to I can fill them with mints for the mini apothecary jar. I can probably add our initials to the some plain matchbooks instead of ordering them already imprinted.

BAR
Mini Apothecary Jars
I just had to buy these cute little jars @ Ross. They were both $3.99 each. I'm going to fill one with matchbooks and the other with mints. They will be by the bar area. I can later use them in our bathroom for soaps and bath salts. The "big" one is 9 1/2" tall and the other 7 1/4" tall.

Flower Centerpiece ideas
I would probably spary paint the branches gold to go with the yellow flowers. Pic 2 is the same, but assembled together in a row. As the wooden base, I was thinking of using unfinished wood serving trays. I remember seeing them at Hobby Lobby. I'll have to go by there to see how much they are.
I figure I will need 8 candle holders per table, 2 to go on each side. Pic 3 is a Dollar Tree find that I think would work. They are 7 7/8" tall. |

Turkish Shoe Signing
It is said the names of women who wish to be married may be written on the bottom of the bride's shoe. The name that rubs off first is said to be the next to wed.

Advice Book
Along with the photo mat I'm using for signatures. I want a advice book. Guests can give their advice on a happy marriage next to their polaroid snaoshot. I will probably ask my youger sister to be in charge of taking photos with the polaroid and placing them in the slots. Guests can later give their advice through out the evening or as they come in. At the end of the advice given, I want the guest to tell how long they have been married or their status. This will let us know how seriously to take their advice. Topics can be regarding arguments, happiness, pet peeves or apologizing.

Origami Centerpiece
This is a tutorial for how to make flowering branch centerpieces using origami flowers.
Materials: Small (75mm) origami paper in colors of choice Thin silver wire Branches Glass pillar vases Step one: make all of the origami flowers. I used the traditional lily because the simplicity of the flower allows it to be more easily folded at such a small size than other more complex models. They can also be made very quickly so making large quantities of them is easier than other flowers. For a spring-themed wedding, cherry blossoms would also be a good choice. The great thing about using origami flowers is that all flowers in all colors, real or imagined, are in season all year long. Estimate how many vases you will need and multiply that by about 6 flowers per vase to figure out how many flowers to make. Step two: prepare flowers for attaching to branches. Cut lengths of silver wire about 4? long. Take each piece of wire and form a loop at the end like in the drawing below. This will prevent the wire from going all the way through the flower. Then take a pin and poke a small hole in the bottom of each flower. Push the straight end of the wire through the hole from the top of the flower, so the loop ends up inside the flower and the straight end is sticking out of the bottom. Step three: collect branches. Gather branches from your back yard, the park, or anywhere you can get them. Then break/shape them so they fit nicely in the glass vases. Choose ones that have a nice varied shape with lots of thin twigs as opposed to thicker, more straight branches. Step four: attach flowers to branches. Wrap the silver wire around the branch to attach each flower. Place them all around the branch and point them in different directions for nice variation. Then gently put the finished flowering branch into the glass vase, and you are done! Origami flowering branch centerpiece is complete! DIY taken from: http://wedlog.zzilch.com/index.php?s=origami |

Signature Drink
I found this great website where you can find drinks by color. Here is one that I think I might like. I'll have to give it a test run.
MANGO CRUSH 2 parts Absolut Citron 1 part Mango Puree 1 dash Lime Juice Mango Fill a rocks glass to the rim with crushed ice. Pour absolut citron and mango puree into a shaker. Fill the shaker with ice cubes and shake it until the shaker is very cold. Strain the drink into the rocks glass. Garnish with a mango (slice). http://absolutdrinks.com Brad wants a MICHELADA to be his signature drink. He had it once at a friends house and was hooked. Here is the recipe for it. 1 beer Margarita Salt dried oregano black pepper Worcestershire Sauce 1 lime Salt the rim of the glass by rubbing a wedge of lime around the rims to moisten. Then immediately place the glasses, one at a time, in the plate of salt, so that the salt adheres to the lime-moistened rim. Add a pinch of dried oregano, black pepper, a splash of Worcestershire, and the juice of one-half of a lime. Pour in a super cold beer, and enjoy. You can add tabasco sauce for a kick if you'd like. |

Rehersal Dinner
I love the way this entire table setting looks. It wouldn't work for the reception though, maybe the rehersal dinner? I like the added touch of the ribbon hanging from the lanterns.
