An awesome video to get your heart beating on a friday:)
I LOVE music videos and when I find one that I haven't seen that looks like this, I have to share:)
Enjoy! It's Camera Obsura "French Navy" and I found it on Blackeiffel.blogspot.com:) A love worth losing...mmm... If I could I would totally get someone to make a music video of me and Dave and have it play in a little corner during the cocktail hour (just have it on a loop so that people could go in and out as they please, and seperate from the other music so that it wouldn't just be "noise") awww a girl can dream right? |

Ask a Question
Help! Stressed about colour coordinating!
I need help!
The more I look at the girls dresses the more BROWN they look! Now I don't know what colour to do for the guys vests and ties! He doesn't want to do black (he's dead set on that one) and I don't want to do the blue. What colour would look good? We're thinking Charcoal grey vests and ties with the black tuxes...would this look good or would it look weird that the girls have a brown tinge to their dresses?? There are no vest colours that match the dress colour close enough. HELP! Also what colour of shoes do you think for the girls dresses? I feel like I'm in a big colour blind of a mess :S UPDATE: We brought the dress in this weekend and matched it up with a "champagne" colour which is more like a silvery-tan it's PERFECT! We decided on black tuxes, black vest and the champgne colour for the tie:) It should look classy!:) |

Ask a Question
Do you and your FH work out together?
Dave loves to work out, I however am not as self motivated as he is but I love working out with him.
We don't live together so most of our workouts are done seperately, the most we usually do is go for a jog once every weekend together. It's a great time to be with each other..to encourage each other, challenge each other and at the end we both feel great and accomplished. We've talked about what are workout plan will be when we get married as well. We both know too many people who, once they move in together lose their "healthy drive" we want our marriage to work WITH us to make us better and healthier people together. Once we get married I will be joining his gym, he'll go More often than me, but my plan is to go at least 3-4 times a week, we'll have different workout routines for the most part but we'll still be there together. When we don't go to the gym we'll be using that time to jog (when we go now we usually try for 10k so we're hoping to work our way up to a little more). Other benefits of working out as a couple: http://www.lifemojo.com/lifestyle/benefits-of-working-out-as-a-couple-667479 Will you and your husband be starting any workout routines together? How will you keep your marriage healthy? |

Chipped tooth!
Thank goodness it happened NOW!
When I was little(5 years old) I chipped my tooth playing a game called "alligator" (everyone lines up sitting side by side on the top of a slide and dangles their legs over the edge while another person (the alligator) stays at the bottom of the slide and tries to grab the dangling legs and pull their victims down the slide.
I was the Alligator and about to grab someones legs. They quickly whisked them out of reach and my face came straight down into the slide chipping my front tooth! I've got it fixed twice already but it's been about 10 years since the last time. Today during lunch I felt something crunchy in my pizza, yep it was the cap(or whatever you call it) that they had put on my chip! I am now sitting here with half of my tooth GONE! I couldn't get into the dentist until 5:00..sooo I'm waiting it out, I refuse to leave my office incase someone sees me! Thank goodness it happened today though! I couldn't imagine how mortified I would be if it looked like half of my tooth was gone the day of my wedding!!! If you haven't done it already, make sure you go to the dentist before your wedding day, even if it's just for a check up! |

Does your FH SNORE?
..what are you going to do about it?
I sleep over at my FH's place most weekends. This weekend while we we're both sound asleep something startled me. I woke up to find my FH quietly but steadily snoring!! I elbowed him in the side (gently, but not too gently) and told him what he was doing and luckily he stopped for the rest of the night.
I am an incredibly light sleeper and I'm pretty sure that if I had to sleep with a loud snorer everynight I would not only go insane from the lack of sleep but it would cause some SERIOUS tension between us as a couple. So far I have been lucky and he only snores if he's overly tired, I poke him and he always stops immediately for the rest of the night. Other than that, the only other noise he makes is when he decides to talk in his sleep but I find that so humorous that I kinda like it:) But it made me wonder.... What do you girls who have loud, snoring FH's do?? Will this become an issue in your relationship? |

Gonna get me some BOOBIES!
When I went yesterday to get my dress altered I noticed one thing, make that two things that I didn't exactly love the looks of in my dress, my boobs looked teeny tiny!
I love my body, I have the right proportions and all but in my dress I was kinda hoping for a little more va-va-voom if you know what I mean! I am also used to wearing a padded bra but since I wanted to get cups sewn into the dress I am going sans bra for the big day soooo what to do, what to do... and then it came to me! I'm going to get these 'dreamshapers pushup gel pads' and put them inside the cups!!! I might tape them inplace just to make sure neither of them gets loose and decides to wonder!!! eeek that would be a sorry site for sure! Hopefully this works out! Anyone else buying boobies for the big day? haha |

UPDATES!
wedding shower, invites, alterations and Drama...
There has been a lot going on over the last couple weeks! Here is my post dedicated to updates! :
We'll start with the good: WEDDING SHOWER: My FMIL and BM's got together and surprised me with a wedding shower on Sunday! Dave told me as we we're driving into the driveway so that I would have a little time to compose myself (thank goodness! I am not used to having so much attention on me!) I was definitely very surprised and incredibly overwhelmed! There we're about 30 women there in total some of which I hadn't meet yet. My mom and aunts we're there as well, it was such an awesome feeling seeing everyone together! I had an amazing time!! I will hopefully get pictures to post in the next few days:) INVITES: Dave and me are going through all of the invites tonight to make sure we didn't forget anyone and we are hoping to send them off tomorrow during lunch! YESSSSSS! ALTERATIONS: I went after work yesterday to get alterations done on my dress! The lady was AMAZING! She's a tiny portugeuse lady with so much character! So friendly and made me feel incredibly comfortable:) I go again to hopefully pick it up on May 28th! weeee! THIS AND THAT....PROJECTS: -I finished my aisle runner! -I purchased all of my table number frames! -I now have 8 candy dishes (I'll just get one or two more now). THE UNINVITED CONTINUES: If you read my post 5 down "dealing with the uninvited" You already know the beginning of this story. I ended up taking your advice and writting her back just saying " I did get my dress! I will post lots of pictures after the big day for sure, so that you can see:) I can't wait!" Welp I thought that was good enough but last night I received another msg on my facebook wall saying: "I mean't that I'm excited to see you in the dress and take my own pictures with my camera!! I can't wait to hang out with you on your day!! YAY!!!" I was so shocked that I had to do a double take! Dave told me to send a private msg to explain it to her again so I well do that tonight and hopefully this whole thing will go away. We just cannot invite EVERYONE and inviting cousins would put us over the limit by 35 guests, it's just not doable with our budget). Oh goodness! |
