lace cake is very pretty and original. I have seen others similar to the damask cake. I love both,  but would go with the lace if it were my decision

I really like the second one in how classic and pretty it is, however that being said I love the first one. It is beautiful without being too pretty and it's different and not your run of the mill cake - so even though I like #2, I think you should go with #1.
