Here we are ladies!!! The pro pix! I am so happy to be finally getting these to you.

They were taken at the university where I attend school!

I am also a grounds keeper their so i planted 80% of the flowers on campus for my big day :)

The grooms cakes was supposed to be a ninja turtle coming our of a sewer hole lol. Our seating cards were jelly jars. we put tags on the jars with the guests name, and then what table they are at. Our table numbers were little chalkboards around the neck of the wine bottles. The centerpieces were hydrangea, peacock feathers, and greens in a tall vase set on a burlap table square.

Even though our wedding was in a ballroom, i still was able to give our party the rustic ohio valley feel! Do you agree?

FINALLY
The photographer has finally thrown me a bone [2 months later]. We have pictures from getting ready to the ceremony, but still no family pix or pix of the wedding party, reception, etc. Is it just me, or is this taking extremely long? I brought some thumbnails for you guys! I didnt screen-shot the pics from her website because her HUGE copyright ruins the pix! One is of me getting ready and the other is Hubby starting to cry the moment he sees me! :-) I'll keep you updated!

so frustrated!
STILL no pictures! I had emailed the photog after my first frustrated post on here asking her if she had a time estimate for me on when the pix would be done. she said another week. well, its been almost THREE. We recieved ONE pictures so i could finally start getting out thank you cards but I haven't seen any proofs or anything else otherwise! I emailed her again today trying to be very very kind since two weeks ago she apparently had a family emergency saying:

"Hi Heather! Very pleased with the prints I got in the mail last week so thank you! I just wanted to check in for the status of our other pictures since it has been a couple weeks :-) we are very excited to see them all. Thanks so much! Hope things are going well with the family. "

I think that's pretty generous of me! Hubby and I just returned from a wedding this weekend and the photogs there said they give proofs in TWO DAYS TIME! They felt so bad for me! Granted, I should of had a deadline written into the contract... but still! That's just bad business! emergency or not! And I see on facebook that she has been meeting with clients and setting up private photog sessions... its like she's put my wedding on the back burner! Not cool!.

Sorry for the vent ladies... but learn from my mistakes!

STILL WAITING
IT HAS BEEN 7 WEEKS since my wedding and I haven't seen a single professional picture. At first I though i was just being antsy until I did a little online research and found that most brides were at least getting to view proofs 3 weeks after their wedding. I haven't seen a single thing! I dont care if its photoshopped or ready to be purchased, I just want to start sifting through the ones I love and know for sure I dont want... Let's face it, I just want to see you good hubby and I looked!!!

Either way, I'm kind of ticked because i was hoping to use pictures for my thank-you's as well. So I emailed photog and turns out she very recently had a family emergency. Which I totally get, takes priority. However, that doesnt explain that past few months! Maybe I'm being heartless... But there is nothing about a deadline in our contract and I feel like she maybe taking advantage of that!

Definitely get a deadline written into your contract if you dont already!

Honeymoon

I'm finally putting up some honeymoon pix for you all!!!

Its been busy putting our house together and going through the process of changing my name but i finally have some down time before going to the Zoo with the HUSBAND today ;D

Highs:
-totally gorgeous setting
-my first time staying in a 4 star hotel
-intimacy with hubby ;)
-friendly locals
-the beach of course!
-tastey food and excellente beverages!
-romantic private dinner on the beach
-being called Mrs. Motto by strangers

Lows:
-on my period
-the poison ivy on my hand made an ugly come back
- it wasn't windy enough to go parasailing
-travel agency messed up our return flight giving me a panic attack [if you are planning a trip here DO NOT use Beach Destinations!]

The lows were really just situational, so i would highly recommend the location as a honeymoon destination! It was very relaxing and since my husband and I decided to save ourselves for marriage and never lived together/slept together it was a fun adventure getting to wake up next to my best friend and being completely alone with him in an island far far away from crazy family!! haha.

All of you ladies with upcoming weddings, I'm praying for you! And those who are just married, welcome to the other side!

JUST MARRIED
high's and low's
Hey ladies! I just returned from my honeymoon and i just wanted to give you a sneak peak at some pix and also give you some of my high's and low's from the day!!!!

We'll start with the low's so we can end on a high!

1. I did indeed start my period the morning of my wedding. i pep talked myself, took some midol, and then got over it. It still sucked though
2. The crazy last minute stuff people feel the need to tell you about like they sent the wrong color napkins or the limo driver doesnt think the groom is where he should be... really? is that really necessary to tell the bride as she is getting make up done?? PROBLEM SOLVE PEOPLE!
3. I like attention, but i also would have liked some peace and quiet to meditate on what I was about to do in the last 30 minutes before walking down the aisle. Instead every one is wanting to take pix with me w/ their phones and asking me 100 questions.
4. I stepped on my dress walking down the aisle and had to practically do a nazi march so i could kick my dress out from underneath my feet in order to not trip
5. we made a grand exit from our reception only to find an empty parking lot. Our limo driver was 30 MINUTES LATE coming to pick us up.....

And now for the highs that completely over shadowed all of those lows:

1. My photographer was the woman behind the scenes who made sure i got quiet time when I wanted quiet time and was ON TIME for everything!
2. Seeing the love of my life practically sobbing the moment he laid eyes on me for the first time as his bride.
3.the entire ceremony brought me and the majority of my guests to tears
3. justin and i rode in the limo to our reception alone which allowed us to toast some champagne and have a few quiet moments to take in what we just did! <3
4. hearing my dad say in his speech how proud he is of the man my husband is and how he really feels comfortable leaving my heart in justin's hands.
5. how fast it went. i know this usually isnt a high for most brides, but i'm glad it went by fast! Everything was so stressful! All i wanted was to call justin my husband and now i can :) thats all I really wanted!!!

Hope you enjoy some of these pix that friends and family took!!! I will post about our honeymoon in the next few days and then hopefully in the next 2 weeks or so i will have professional pix! Thanks for following my journey from day 1 til now!

COUNTDOWN
ONLY TODAY AND TOMORROW!
As i do some finishing touches for my big day, [like the DIY bouquet pictured left] it's hard to believe that this journey is ending! My whole journey of single-hood and trying and fighting to find the perfect partner! It is soooo bitter sweet. It's hard to think that in one week I will never being going home to california. I will only ever go there as a guest now. It's also hard to believe that i will get to wake up next to the most loving man I've ever known.

I don't think getting engaged at 19 and married by 21 was a mistake. I don't think I'm too young, or cant handle it... but being this age and making this commitment at this time in my life has a completely different set of pros and cons then it may for some of you.

Its always interesting to sit back in times like these, on the eve of a life changing event, and try--just TRY to see what the Almighty is doing as he erases, adds people, colors, moves people away, shapes me and molds me...

While things have been crazy in this last week there has also been an eerie calm to every thing I do. Last night was the first night that i had trouble sleeping and I have to say I'm pretty impressed. I thought I would have been tossing and turing every night for the past month at the thought of seating charts and cookies. And maybe I kept waking up because I realized I am restless without my love by my side. And so with only 2 more full days to go I keep anticipating so that Saturday August 4th will surely be the best day of my life :-)

Please continue to pray for me and all my traveling guests :-)

MORE HORRORS!
The past 13 months of my engagement have been a smooth ride and now that its 4 days until my wedding i feel like every thing is going wrong!

But lets start with some good news: My decorator FINALLY got back to me and bought a bunch of natural burlap that is going to look absolutely lovely on the tables. I just wish her and I had discussed this sooner since i COULD have been cutting this burlap MONTHS ago when i had a plethora of time!! But I am calling in the reinforcements tonight and 1/2 my bridesmaids are coming over to help finish all of my DIY projects! Also my mom took me honeymoon shopping and we got some nice beachy dresses for my trip in addition to getting my ring polished and cleaned for the big day!

Now for the horrors... I was actually kind of mad at FH last night. Every time we ever have to do some thing wedding related he always complains and just barely does the minimum when it comes to being involved in planning. It hasn't really mattered until now, because now everything is falling on my shoulders at the last minute and now I'm hearing excuses like "well i dont know how to help because you've been planning this whole thing and i dont know whats going on" well who's fault is that?! UHG! I went to bed crying last night because i just felt so overwhelmed and alone in this which is the OPPOSITE of what a bride and groom should be feeling 5 days before they are wed

After the horrible night I had, I woke up with high hopes and told myself that I would approach the day with a good attitude. Well I got on my computer to check the status of some peacock feather i ordered way back on JULY 8TH! They were coming from China but the seller promised that they would arrive on my doorstep no later than the 28th. I told them I would hold them to their word because i needed these for my wedding!!!! Well yesterday was the 30th and they still hadn't come so you can bet i messaged that seller and they said "Hmm there is no tracking information after they left China so they must have been lost in the mail. We'll refund your money. Have a nice wedding!" WTH?!?!?!?!?!?! Oh I was fuming mad! Its like all the last minute things are unraveling! I needed those 30 feathers for my centerpieces and now I have nothing!!!! FH is looking for feathers right now with 1-day shipping available but it just really makes me mad when people could care less about what you're going through!!!!!!!!

Please pray that I can overcome all this garbage and have a relaxing final 3 days as Miss Pollmann.

Bachelorette Party!

My maid of Honor did SUCH a good job!!! She decorated her whole dining room, got favors for all the girls and had games and prizes! She did this really cute game that was basically just a guessing game about me and FH. It was a tie between all the girls! hahaha we did a tie breaker and FH's cousin won a 'team bride' cup :)

We danced and drank a little at MoH's house and then we went to Dave and Busters for a midnight snack and some more drinks. you can see MoH and i on Dance Dance Revolution hahahaha it was really really fun.

Its hard to belive that this time next week I will be on an air plane to my honeymoon!!!! Keep prayin for me ladies!

This weeks worries:
-that i still havent gotten a call back from my decorator
-money
-and my period is due to come some time during my honeymoon :(

We decided to do chair covers at the last minute!!

I still wanted it to have the rustic feel [which i felt was slipping away] so the lady who rents chair covers is going to add twine to the bow! I thought the burlap was a little TOO rustic. and i also i didnt want to go overboard on burlap since it will be being used for the table squares.... so i think the twine&bow is a good compromise and has 'rustic elegance' written all over it! Thoughts?

In other news, my bachelorette party is tonight!!! I will definitely update you with some pix tomorrow!!! Love you ladies!
