DIY Wedding
Welcome Bags

So we have a lot of out of town guests coming [all my california relitives, new jersey aunts and uncles, and some from NY and KY] to show our appreciation and to make settling in for the weekend a little easier FH and i decided that we would put together welcome bags. These bags will be hung on the door the day every one will arrive and will contain:

- a map of the area
-weekend itinerary [who has to be where and when]
- some tylenol [morning after lol]
-water bottle [with personalized labels]
-some tea bags
-some type of snack [luna bar? Pop chips?]
- and a list of restaurants/grocery/other stores with descriptions of what type of items they carry/food they serve and how close/far they place is from their hotel

So I was looking on Etsy to see if some one could make me cute bags in our theme for cheap. I found the perfect bags but the shipping was $20!! I tried to haggle with her since i was ordering less then half of what the listing described [hence, it would be less shipping because of less weight] but she wouldn't budge! Usually i can get the seller to at least lower the shipping cost by $5 but not this gal! SO... i have a little artist in me and thought, why dont i just draw this design myself?

The picture with the white background is the one i drew [obviously] and the brown one is the picture from etsy. The etsy seller clearly uses a stamp but i didnt think mine was too sloppy. So i will scan the version I drew and print it on some tea stained paper [or something else with a vintage look] and then glue it to my own paper brown bags that I will find for cheap at some craft store sale.

What do you ladies think? Does it look cheap and sloppy, or personal and cute?

Happy planning! Blessings, Sam
