Just thought I'd update you on my lil DIY project!
Me and my BM Regina were hard workers this atfernoon! First of all, i calculated wayy too much fabric! I thought i would need 6 square inches per jare and I only need 4 plus i thought i had 200 jars but i only have 180 :/ i will have YARDS of fabric left over! [I only have 180 favors because its one per family/party]
Anyway... here is the process we went through:
first i wrote down each flavor on sticky labels and labeled each jar's flavor [we have strawberry, raspberry and grape] by putting the sticker on top of the lid of the jar. We then cut 4 in squares of fabric to put over top of the lids. It was hard to hold down the fabric while trying to tie the twine at the same time, so we took down out pony tails and used our hair bands to hold the fabric in place while we tied a tiny bow around it. Then we of course removed our hair ties.
I think they turned out cute. We only did 2 totally completed jars and then we mostly focused on cutting the fabric and making sure each jar's flavor was labeled. Also, we will attach tags to each jar saying the guest's name and what table they are sitting at. I'm thinking about having them on a table near the entrance to our reception with a chalkboard that says "Love is Sweet, Please take a seat!" or something along those lines...
