Wedding Decoration

DISASTER

Hello friends! I hate to start this post with a vent session but i have no choice! So FH and I hired a decorator because we heard good things about her and we thought it would be nice to take the pressure off of friends and family to decorate. Since I am having a rustic themed wedding [with some peacock flair] I have lots of decorations made out of burlap. For the table centerpieces I wanted to have burlap table squares to go underneath the vases. Since our reception is in a hotel ballroom, I though I would try to utilize the burlap as much as possible to give it that country flair that being outside would naturally do, but is unavailable to us. So our decorator said she would be on the lookout for burlap like the kind i have pictured in pic #2. Well FMIL called and said the decorator gave her a sample piece of material and that i should come over and look at it. WELL... its burlap alright! DYED TURQUOISE! She knows my colors are navy and light green! she also knows that I want brown burlap! WHY on earth would she buy bright turquoise material? And here is the real kicker: SH IS ON VACATION AND UNREACHABLE! Did i mention I am getting married in 10 days?! I feel like going out, buying burlap of my choosing and cutting my own table squares! dont get me wrong, i like th color turquoise.. however, NOTHING else in my wedding is turquoise! uhg.... so super stressed about this right now....

On a brighter note, I celebrated my 21st birthday on Monday and it came just in time! This decorating sitch is already driving me to drink! FH took me to my favorite part of Pittsburgh and i celebrated with a pomegranate margarita. Also, my mom sent me 2 dozen beautiful roses which cheered me up! Speaking of which, i should probably pay the florist some time soon!

Tonight i will be working on our seating chart, completing the welcome bags, and trying to do a final tally of all our RSVP's [we have 190 so far!]
