F L O R I S T
"Terrie Easley"
Booked my FLORIST a week ago and I am excited and feeling very smart about my florist choice. My budget for my florist was only set to a certain amount, however I only included in my budget my bouquet, my wedding party bouquet and my center piece flowers only. But lucky thing i went to the bridal expo for the second time since my engagement, and BAM! I found the perfect florist. Two words---->>> TERRIE EASLEY. She encouraged me to set an appointment with her, and not to worry and think about my budget. She was right- my budget increased at least by a thousand-- BUT----- it included everything I had NOT imagined:
1. brides bouquet 2. brides throw bouquet 3. bridesmaid bouquet 4. centerpieces: eiffle tower vase & flowers 5. head table centerpieces 6. ceremony decoration on pews 7. ceremony decoration on stage 8. flower girls flowers 9. grooms flowers & lei 10. best man & groomsmen lei 11. parents flowers 12. setting up 13. transporting from ceremony to reception 14. BONUS::: MOH bouquet on the HOUSE! *FREE OF CHARGE* OMG I'M EXCITED AND THANKFUL I went with them. |

FLOWER GIRLS DRESSES
1.PICKED IT 2. need to BUY IT.
SO, I found these on www.flowergirldressesforless.com ....I wont order them yet- since the wedding is in June and these girls are growing still....let alone I have 9 flower girls...ugh!... but its OKAY- they are ALL my brothers & sisters kids... no one has boys...lol... Im also thinking of having some wear brown...but we'll see... little girls nowadays are only willing to wear PRETTY dresses...and I really dont want to put them in something they WILL REFUSE to wear on the day of my wedding day....bratttttttts ! any of you find anything yet? ..I actually wanted my MOH & bridesmaid to wear pink....but since its easier to have them wear brown- style, and plus they are TOOOOOOOO picky too....so brown it is for the MOH & BRIDESMAID and PINK for my little ones... what did you all come up with? |

Ceremony & Reception VENUES
a wedding of less then 150...
So I booked my venues back in July-- and because when we started our list, we wanted only 120 THEN, now we are racking up an extra 20 to the list...as long as it stays below 200 and atleast 140 I'll be good...I mean..I started up WANTING a BIG wedding...but then as we talked about it...I started thinking I wanted a SMALL wedding, because I wanted something private, intimate and meaningful....and plus I wanted to share it with VERY CLOSE FAMILY MEMBERS & CLOSE FRIENDS...
My Reception venue-- [GLAD I dont have to worry about that]-the place is HUGE] can seat 200 guest --and thats waaaaaay passed my limit...So I'm loving that. My wedding ceremony venue seats 200, however it feels SORT OF congested when I think about our wedding party and ourselves standing up on the stage and all ....... I guess its because Im THINKING TOO MUCH on it........alright I'm over it.........LOL |

F A V O R S
my BROWN & PINK picks
WE wanted to give our guests something they can not only remember us by, but something they can come to enjoy or have as souvenier from American Samoa. I guess our main focus was: 1. Culture & Tradition -- MINI Tanoa's [ made specifically for my wedding -- brown] 2. Sweet & Tasty -- M&M personalized pink&brown OR pink&cream [ or Hawaiian Hersheys Macadamia candies $4.00 a bag of 50] 3. Rythm -- Burned CD's of 15 of our favorite songs -[inexpensive & easy to do] FYI: TANOA'S are SAMOAN traditional (look like bowls) that are used to serve kava (samoan beverage). A Tanoa is a wooden bowl used in the preparation of a beverage made from the roots of the kava plant. The roots are crushed into a powder-like form and mixed in the bowl with water. Kava, or 'ava as it is known in Samoa, can be served informally, although its most important use is in chiefly meetings and ceremonies. The elegant form and lines of tanoa fai'ava make them a popular gift and souvenir. They are one of the most enduring icons of Samoan hospitality and culture. what did you all decide on for you favors?? |

GUEST who are traveling-- HELP!
ACCOMMODATIONS...
Ok- SO MAJORITY of our guest(s) are close family who are ALL traveling from American Samoa, California, Kansas, Alaska, Washington etc. Our wedding is going to be held here in Hawaii- HOWEVER my big question is, I really want to help them out with their "stay". I just do not know what EXACTLY I'm supposed to do.
Wether or not we are supposed to or not supposed to-- my question is what should I do? [ I know this is common sense] BUT HOW DID YOU ALL OR HOW DO YOU ALL THINK I SHOULD GO ABOUT IN TRYING TO ACCOMMODATE GUEST? suggestions? comments? I need help! |

Wedding Cake
toppers toppers toppers
....Feeling "aaawww" about having monograms instead of using the tiny bride & groom toy toppers (what do they call those? LOL) .. I know I want " S & J" to be used... I guess I wouldnt mind having some bling on the monogram'...depending on the color or icing im gonna have on my cake -- I'll either use a lighter color for bling or the opposite of my two colors: brown & pink..
I'm also gonna include on my cake table [the table should be big though] a chocolate fountain and strawberries...I'm debating though if one is good enough... anywho' I wanted two to go on the sides of the cake...one strawberry fountain and one chocolate... [fountains are about $40. @walmart- small size] just crossing fingers that no scare on strawberries arises in 09'.. |
