Dance Lessons NEEDED
2 Months To Go!

First off, today is exactly 2 months until the wedding! Holy crap! So excited!

Secondly, a couple months ago Jeff and I took some swing dancing lessons. They were a lot of fun and we were doing really well...then Christmas came along, we stopped going and then the studio changed their class schedule which didn't work with our schedule. Which brings us to present day.

We realllllly need lessons. Jeff can't dance and I can't stop leading. There was a Valentine's Special for a local dance company so last night Jeff and I went to check them out. We tried a bit of the waltz, foxtrot and rhumba, and surprisingly we took to the rhumba the quickest. The special was $25 for 3 1/2hr private lessons and 1 1hr group lesson. Of course once you get in there they try and sell you a bunch more lessons for hundreds of dollars, but we stuck our ground and hopefully we'll be able to learn quick.

Anyone else taking lessons? How are they going?

I want to take a few lessons to make of first dance that much more special...and FH has agreed to take a few if we can find some in our price range.  U got a great deal...hope I can find something like that in my area.  Good luck

I want to also. FH agreed but right now not sure if we are going to be able to afford it. (I'm keeping my fingers crossed that we can!)

Sounds so much fun!  I've always wanted to do some lessons but can't convince FH to go with!!!! :(

We will be doing dance lessons too!  Even though we are not sure what we are learning yet hahah! All we know is the song Butterflyz by Alicia Keys.  So I am guessing that we will be learning somewhat of a simple two-step with some fancy dips and spins:)  

I will also be taking some dance lessons alone.  I plan to learn a wedding hula! So excitedddd!! :D

I was going to say check out Craig's List..some private teachers offers some pretty decent rates out there.  We found someone that teaches dance as a side job..and I think he wanted $25 per 1 hour lesson.

i'm convincing kevin to take some dance lessons so our first dance isn't a high school one! i was definitely very interested in the rhumba so it's great to hear you took to it so fast!
