1 Week to go... - All Packed Up! - SARAHDARLING's Black Wedding by Color Blog

One week from now my bridesmaids will be showing up at my house to start hair and make up on my wedding day! Eek!

Now that practically everything is done I've packed up all my supplies into bankers boxes, ready to be dropped off at the venue. I've heard stories about things not being set up correctly so I included pictures of how I'd like things to look and lists of what's in each box to (hopefully) avoid confusion.

Everyone makes fun of my organization, but I think it's awesome!

Good for you, this is something that I would do. We are having a destination wedding and I have already starting packing up supplies that I know we are taking for the wedding :) Its better to be overprepared than under!

This is sooo necessary! Great job girl. I hear too many brides say that things were misplaced and never used because the people responsible for setting things up could not locate them or totally forgot. This is wonderful and def something I would do as well :)

Don't worry about them. I am in the process of doing the same thing. I would hate to walk into our reception and see my whole vision ruined all because somebody decided to do their own thing.

well, I wish I told you sooner! but they had damask banker boxs at Zellers 2 pack the other one was black. But, I love them I wanted to do this too (with the damask boxes) but FH wouldn't let me buy them haha! Anyways, this looks great! Your wedding is amazing and I don't know about the rest on here, but I will miss you very much on here ! Please come back!

GIRLY, im so stealing this idea. My fh knows Im very bitchy if something is not set up as I imagined. With the time frame I dont know if I WILL BE ABLE TO DECORATE ANYTHING!! I mean its very detailed and pictures! men love pictures lol!!!
My family and his family can follow instructions this is so cool!

I think the pictures are a fabulous idea and if I weren't 'inspecting' the venue for myself before I head to the church I'd have them too. I think venues prefer organized brides because they are a business and can handle someone professional. But I believe that everyone who teases about being organized is jealous...just like the kids that tease the smart 'geeks'. Congrats and enjoy your last week. I'm super excited to see the pictures from your wedding!

I planned on doing this idea too. But my FH told me I was being too controlling. But I just want it to be set up the way I ENVISIONED lol because they don't want me there to set up..they want me to "rest"

I started doing this too, everytime my boss places an order for computer paper with Staples, she knows to give me the empty boxes for wedding items... I have beag labeling them, but I have one day in May where my bridesmaids whill come help me setup and take pictures of each setup... You are going to have a stress-free day girl, you are so prepared mama!

I once laughed at my friends cousin who at her wedding had detailed agenda binders for each member of the party... i thought she was crazy and way too organized... i dont laugh anymore cuz im gonna be doing the same haha. and i will do this too! i dont want to forget or miss anything and i wont be there to set up so i need ppl to know where everything is and where it goes. too funny! good job organzing!

I am doing the same thing! Since I wont be there while the room is being decorated, I want to ensure my ideas are borught to life!

I'm doing the same thing, better to be safe than sorry! I think it helps the person setting up as well not to freak out with confusion. Great job!
