DIY Wedding
Cootie Catchers!!!!

After a sleepless night and morning, MANY sheets of paper and countless tries later and I finally made my own cootie catchers!!!

I am so happy with them and FH loves them too!! On the outside flaps is our names and date, questions about us on the inside flaps with the answers and our dinner menu on the very inside when it's all unfolded.

FH is picking up colour ink tonight so I can add some colour and I need to pick up some nicer paper. I think I will make about 5 different versions with different questions in each. I'm going to put one on each persons plate so hopefully our guests will use them to get some conversation going!

I never thought I was going to be much of DIY bride but I had so much fun figuring this out that I can't wait to find my next project.

***UPDATE***
I've opened a shop on etsy doing custom cootie catcher designs. So far business is great and all the bride's I've worked with have been lovely.

These are BEAUTIFUL!!!!  I'm so wishing I had a Mac right now - I have a template that I downloaded for free, and tried it out yesterday, but they look like crap, and the text alignment is all screwed up!  If the file won't work on a PC, is there any way you could e-mail me the directions (i.e. how big are your outline squares?  How did you get the text to line up within the folded triangles?)?  My address is amy.ann.scott@gmail.com.  Thanks so much - you are SO talented!  Oh, what's the size of the total outside square you used?
