Wedding Invitation
Need your vote! Traditional or NON?!

I don't know how many times I've played with the font on my invitations at this point! I thought I had settled on a design until a post I read by renorx about non-traditional invites...so I started playing again.

We are going for a 1930's vintage glam/swingin' jazz kinda feel, so I feel like either invite could work. Which do you like more?

ps. instead of wasting more of my invites on samples I just printed them on regular paper and laid them over top the invitation.

PLEASE VOTE NOW!

You have done a great job with both!  My vote is for the old invite & rsvp.  The damask, ribbon and a touch of sparkle looks very elegant.

The new idea is great and very creative.  I understand the flow of the theme but it's a bit cluttered.  I would assume that's why you have been trying diffferent fonts to get it to work.

I know how it feels when you think you had it just the way you wanted it, then you find a post that makes you 2nd guess yourself, and you want to kick it up a notch or 2.  :)

I don't know...they are both wonderful!  I think I like the new one better.  I agree that it combines elegance with modern touches.  Also, I think it goes with your theme of 1930s and swing.

the new invite looks fun with a modern touch, but looks abit cluttered, esp. against the damask pattern...i like the old fonts more, looks very elegant, great job on both!

Both invites look nice. The new invite sets the tone for a fun and exciting celebration. It definitely gets you hyped up to party. If you are going all out on the theme (with a big retro jazz band and all), I say use the first invite. If your ceremony and reception are more traditional in nature, I would go with the second invite.

Wow!! They are both great - looks like you've put alot of work into these invitations :) I love, LOVE your most recent! I think that the deco font sets your invitations apart from he standard! I personally love to see this! I also like wording tight and of different sizes in an invite, well done! Looks good!! So..... Which one do YOU like????!?!

My vote is for the Deco one for sure! It is just so much fun! What I think is great about an invitation is that it sorta sets the tone for your big day for your guests.... if you want them to feel it'll be a very traditional event, go with the script. If you want them to feel it'll be a fun wedding full of excitement to share with the new Mr. and Mrs., then I'd go with the deco one. Which is your favorite?

thanks so much for all the comments ladies!!! i love them both, they are just soo different. we aren't having a traditional ceremony and i am hoping that the reception is more like one big party so i think that the deco invitation more fits with that. although i also like the more elegant feel of the second one because its much more classic. i asked FH which one he would pick and he picked the deco so i think he just made the decision for us!!!
