I have seen both done - I'd just like to see what everyone's opinion is from a bride & guest point of view. As a guest, it kind of sucks either way because your either waiting in your pew/chair, or standing in line....just not sure which way to go with it! If we went with a receiving line, I wouldn't make the bridal party stand there since they won't know many of the guests. What are you doing for yours?

Theknot.com has disposable cameras on sale for $2.99! If you need to buy them, now is the time! I just got 25 and the shipping was around 12.50, which is still cheap per camera. Another item checked off my looooong list!!!

We are looking into getting something fun & different for our guys...so the idea of pub signs is currently on the table. We could get one to match every personality, and they may actually get used!

Ever been to a wedding where something so odd or ridiculous happened that you'll never forget it? I've got a couple:

#1 - my cousin passed out during his vows, but he was nice enough to warn us it was coming...after he swayed a couple of times, he announced 'i think i'm going to faint'...then his brother caught him. Just something that runs in the family - we tend to buckle out knees!

#2 - I was a bridesmaid for a girl I didn't even know - we'd only met twice, but I just don't know how to say no I guess! It was a weekend FULL of drama - fighting b/w the families, the parents all announcing that the couple should have waited another year, even though the ceremony was already over. Even the MOH started spreading rumors about grooms family calling the bride a b*tch, sl*t, etc....so they called the reception off two hours early because there was so much drama doing on!

What's your story?

We are definitely set on doing an all-inclusive honeymoon, but where? I don't even know where to begin when comparing resorts. I like the idea of waiting until Christmas time, because it'll be COLD COLD COLD here and warm somewhere else, but we're still undecided! Any suggestions are welcome, especially if you've experienced a place that would be just perfect for a honeymoon!

Here is an idea if you are going to use invitations for your rehearsal dinner. I do plan to make some, but probably not this design because I used it for my mom's surprise b-day party invites, and the same people will be getting them! I used a chocolate color for the bottom and 2nd layers, and a striped light blue, pink, white & chocolate for the designed layer, and a blue ribbon! We got these through magnetstreet.com and they turned out really well! The cost was $200 for 250 magnets. We've had a lot of compliments on them too!

I love all of these! Not sure exactly what we'll go with, but I want to incorporate our color - other than that I'm an open book!

This is similar to what our groom's cake will be. The Sox will be Cardinals, and obviously it'll be our picture! Matt & I are fans of opposite teams, he's Cubs & I'm Cardinals, so I thought something like this would be cute to have the best of both worlds! And my whole family is from St Louis so they'll just love it!

Not the greatest picture, but this is what we want for the bridal party. The tuxes shown are Chocolate I believe, and we will be going with black. I love this Peridot color from David's Bridal. We're letting the girls choose their own dresses with the only guidelines being the color, that they all be satin, and I may have them all be long so there aren't uneven lengths. We want to use Men's Warehouse since they are linked with David's so the colors match perfectly! :)

We decided to go with a mini coach from Arrow. It holds 32 passengers for $550! This way all of our party including guest book & candle lighters + their spouses can ride. We may end up upgrading to a 47 passenger for about $200 more, because the wedding party consists of 22 total then we can have some friends ride along as well!

We switched halls and are booked with Harrah's! I think it will be an awesome time!! :)

I have noticed almost everyone on here comes from somewhere different, so where do you hail from? I was born in Norwalk, Connecticut - moved to Houston, TX for 5 years almost right after being born, then grew up in small town called Blair, NE, just outside of Omaha and have been here for 20 years. I moved almost two years ago to Council Bluffs, IA, which is one minute away from Omaha across the river but my fi & I plan on going back to Omaha once we buy a house. Although I've never lived there, my parents are both from Saint Louis, MO, so all of my aunts, uncles, cousins, and two siblings are there. Maybe someday I'll join them...although it strikes me that if I'm going to move south, I may as well make it worth it and go where it's warm all year long!!

Here are just a few pictures I found online. I have yet to meet with my florist...we're waiting until after Mother's Day, but I wanted to post some pictures I've found in case it can help anybody else!

Still not sure exactly how to lay them out, but I love the 4.25" X 11" look. I received a price book like this with a ribbon on top, and the top page was sheer, from the Marriott at a bridal fair. I'm going to try and use this along with these pictures as my guide!

I really like this with the high back comb. I still have six weeks before my next cut to decide if I'm growing it out over the next year or not.

I have no idea what type of centerpiece I want. I really like the look of flower arrangements, but kind of worried that will get too costly? I'm not a fan of silk flowers, so that puts a damper on things! My venue does not allow candles other than floaters. Any ideas???

I just started looking for dresses a week ago and already know exactly what I want and look good in now! This is what I'm leaning toward at the moment. I still have several boutiques to visit so it may change...

Update: I went again to try this on and it's definitely the one! I'm not going anywhere else because I don't want to change my mind. When I put this on, I get a certain feeling that I was totally wanting to get. Love love love it! It's the Allure 8261 for reference!
