Thank You Notes
After ordering thankyou notes and having them come back with black grooms and a bunch of other issues, I caved in and made my own. I never came across many thank you posts so that's why I'm putting up mine. I'm keeping them simple because I have so many to make and not that much time anymore to get them done. =)

Here are some photos of my reception.
Glow sticks were a huge hit...I bought 60 of them thinking that it would be more than enough since I thought only the little kids and teens would want them but I was wrong. One of our groomsmen went out and ended up buying more. My thoughts on chair covers...so glad I did them. I totally recommend them. I do suggest only doing a flower toss to get more girls out there. We announced that we were not doing the garter thing so we could have teens do it and it is so less weird...plus my flower girl caught it. =) I have a million more pictures but I know not everyone wants to see random people dancing. =) Everyone dance and that was awsome! If I find more pictures with the details of things I will add them. My cake was fantastic tasting! It says a lot since I don't like cake. Went with butter cream frosting and it tastes sooo good. I suggest it over fondent a milion times. Only bummer..I wish we had more cheese. My cheese pile or whatever you want to call it was completely gone by the time I got there.....what can I say, my family is dutch and we love our cheese. Luckily somebody saved me some spanikopia...however you spell that! =) |

Thought I would share some of my favorite photos or photos that would be inspirational. This batch is from me getting ready at my house, the church, and the park where we almost got killed by a pair of squirrels falling out of the big tree.
Interesting Tip/Idea...We had are groomsmen play a game. When ever Bill's father touched his nose they guys had to switch the way their hands where. It helped them keep their concentration. |

Flower Girl Hair
I just finished making the hair circlet for my flower girl. She just cut her and donated it to Locks of Love (YAY!) and it is now really short so the circlet is the only option. I hid some butterflies all around it and made a matching barrett and bobbie pin for later if she wants to put her bangs back.

No Pew Bows For Me
I hate the look of pew bows and my church had some I could use buty they were so ugly, so I made something a little more modern. I made clusters of flowers with ribbon hanging down that will wrap around the candle posts. I was able to go to my church the other day and test them out. I put them up really quick, but I think they still look fairly cute. =)

Bells and Organ
I got the music for my wedding!
I played the bells for many years at my church so I had to have them play at my wedding! The bell chior at my church will play Rejoice with Gladness (by Susan Geschke) as part of the prelude and they will play C Major Peal (by Alice Ralston) when we kiss! It will be just like in Cinderella! I also met with my awsome organist who is playing Voluntary V, Op.5 by John stanley . The slow part is for the mothers and the faster part for the bridesmaids. My flower girl and ringbearer and myself will be walking to Basse et Dessus de Trompette by Louis-Nicolas Clerambault. It actually starts in minor and doesn't sound like your normal music, but it does change to major and then back to minor and ends on this awsome major key that is so amazing words can't describe it, but boy does it make a statement. Actually, I think my organist changed it to be like that because when I youtube that song it is not nearly as amazing and nobody else plays it with such and upbeat ending. I'm lucky to have an organist that can tweek things soe well. I also am lucky that the organ at my church is a really nice organ. It has a really full rich sound. My candle lighting will have Verset by Leon Boellmann. And my postlude will have Ellacombe by Michael Burkhardt. Also, I will have two hymns: Beautiful Savior and Now Thank We All Our God |

Chair Covers
I did it. I put my order in for chair covers. I've been to my venue a few times when they were setting up weddings and I took a few pictures both times. One wedding was without chair covers and I went back another time and they had one with. I think you will agree that they make a huge differance. The covers themselves were not that bad, but I did not order sashes. They wanted to charge me an additional $200 for them. No way! I figured I can do them for $25-$35 myself if I find the time or I might just ditch the sashes.
Should I go with pink and yellow sashes or stay all white? |

Response Card Drama
Anybody else inviting more people and hoping less come? I have two lists that I am inviting and I have about half of my responses back. So far, only one is a no. I really wish people who were going to say no would do so rather quickly. Has anybody else have people who will say no waiting last minute? Most of the people that still have to reply are kind of my wild cards and I have no clue if they will show up or not. I really want to invite some people on my B list (still all family), but I am running out of time to invite them. I do not know if I should invite them and hope that since it is so soon to the wedding that most will not be able to come. We already invited 160 people and it would be about 24 more people invited. So that is 184 people total. I really wanted to stay under 170. They say 10-20% do not come….so that would bring me to 150-160, but you never know who will decided to come I feel like this is bringing a lot more unneeded stress.
