This is saskiasl's Pink Wedding!

I updated my monograms and depending on what I'll need them for I will use these three. Circle for sticker/seal things and the line one is for our website and guestbook cards and I don't know what I'll use the last one for, but it's fave!

Just some patterns for envelopes, boxes, and even a small gift bag if any one is up to the challenge.

I finally have most of my "Guestbook" done. I love to scrapbook so I much rather be able to sprinkle notes with my wedding pictures all throughout my scrapbooks than just have a stupid book with signatures and another book with pictures. I also am working on a little sign with instructions since some of my family will not understand it too well. =) I couldn't find envelopes that were small enough so I ended up making them. I'll try to get the template up as soon as I can convert the file from the program I got it from.

My guestbook poem:
Grab a pen and have some fun,
And get ready to write a ton!
These cards are empty and need to be filled.
Do not worry; you do not need to be skilled.
If you prefer you can write words that are wise,
And there is plenty of room to improvise.
Fill them with doodles if you choose,
Or wrtie things that will make us amused.
We'll put them in a scrapbook when you are done,
So we can read through them for years to come!

So happy! After looking at many printing places and not finding an invitation I loved, I went to Target and just happen to walk by the perfect invitation. The pinks are the same shades as the girl's dresses and only $24.99 for 50 I just couldn't resist! I'll have to alter them a little to make them more exciting, but I have all the essentials.

Here is my try at some monograms and things...I would love some input

I think I know what I'm going to have if I go the real flower way, but I couldn't find any pictures that actually put them all together like I plan to.

So I had not looked at my reception place for a long time and had Bill go and take some pictures so I could think more about decorations. I never realized how ugly the chairs are! Blue and gold is not style. So I thought about chair covers...only to find that they cost a lot more then I expected...so far $3.75 is the best I can find...I was thinking more like $2 or $2.50. Is it worth it get them? I never planed them in my budget.

I changed my center pieces a little. I'm layering ribbon and adding our intials for some charm.

So I want to incorporate our love for juggling so I realized we can do it easy with table "numbers." I know I'll need 20 tables. I might even need 21...so I'll think about that 21 object. I might even try to get one of each object and place it on the table...or maybe just pictures with us doing those things...we'll see.

Everybody at my church and work and family keep asking me what my dress looks like so I give them the least helpful description possible.....modern fairy tale. So, I thought it would be fun to see how everybody else might answer.

This is what I have so far.....I actually got a whole bunch of glass cups from target for 50 cents each because they wanted to get rid of them all! Now I don't have to worry about registering for any cups! I will have 45 of them when I'm done! That was actually one of my bridesmaids’ ideas. I think I will add a table runner and I will have yellow tables (yellow flower and candles and runner) and pink tables. I did splurge on the candles...kind of....got them on sale and had a coupon on top of that! The yellow ones are vanilla cupcake.....oh they smell soooo goooood! The pink ones are roses...They actually smell good together. I budgeted for $10 a table and only spent $7 so far so I have room for my runners.

Is anybody else worried about nobody dancing on a dance floor?

I have been too many weddings where nobody dances. I think my favorite was when I was invited to my roommates brother’s wedding (who I think I had met twice at most) just because they knew I loved to dance the night away. Let’s just say the only people that stepped foot on to the dance floor was a seven year old and myself. Nobody would dance. Even at my cousin’s wedding there was just a few people who would dance. Now that I think about it, the my other two cousins who were married also had no people on the dance floor. So my question is….how do you encourage people to dance?

So far my plan is to make it as fun as possible….
1. Glow sticks- Glow sticks are fun to wave around and waving something can help disguise mask poor dancing.
2. A “too small” dance floor- It’s crowd psychology. People are more likely to dance when the crowd is dense. Nobody wants to feel like the only one out there!
3. Keeping it dark- When people can’t see you dance then you are less of a spectacle if you are a bad dancer
4. Keeping the doors closed- Open doors invite people to escape. It’s easy to walk around outside and look at the nice views and you forget the fun going on inside and then it is just that much easier to walk to your car and leave. Plus open doors bring in that evil light!
5. Kids- Kids have no shame in their bad dancing skills. I have been teaching my nieces and nephew some of those basic dances like the YMCA (it’s challenging for a 4 year old). If the kids want to dance, they can drag their parents out and then you have more people on the floor and the more on that floor the more other people will not be afraid to dance.
6. The right kind of music- People like to dance to what they know. I know a large portion of the people at my reception are going to be “older” and just might dance if they hear more of the older tunes. Luckily, I like oldies (I work at an oldies radio station), but I like techno too, so I am going to let my dj play more of what ever will get people on that floor. It’s also easier to listen to happier and fast pasted music. Poor Josh Groban is too slow to dance to so I’ll just sneak him in during dinner.

I'm bummed. I went the other day to check out this one flower girl dress that matched the style of my dress perfectly. Unfortunately it is not by the same designer so the color of pink does not even come close. Who knew 2 pinks could be so different! Of course I don't like any of the flower girl dresses that are from my designer. Maybe they will come out with one I'll like. Anybody have suggestions?

Still don't know what kind of cake I'll have, but I really like #13. It's has the most juggling feel to me. =)

I don't like to eat cake, but they are beautiful to look at =)

I feel like finding an updo that isn't the normal head of curls is tricky. I know my head of hair doesn't hold curls too well and it reminds me too much of prom hair. Anybody have any suggestions or tips for flat hair?

Then what about the accessories? I like the flowers in the hair, but I like some sparkle too. Does anybody know of good hair styles (without the the curls) that also work with tiaras and doesn't make the tiara stand out?

So I am trying to find a cute wedding topper. My mom has the cutest Precious Moments bride and groom that would be soooo cute but it is very very heavy and very very small... only about an inch and a half tall. I also thought about making one myself, but I don't know how well it might come out. The picture is of the cutest Precious Moments ornament that is going to be comming out and will have to keep it mind. It will at least be my backup.

I also know that I want to do a dance with my dad and the song is going to be Cinderella by Steven Curtis Chapman. It has to be one of the sweetest songs out there and I haven't heard it much. It will be a nice change from all the typical father-daughter songs. Another idea for anybody out there that wants to keep guests participating is that you can have any other father and daughters out there join you half way through the song. I might do that, but it is still up in the air.

So Bill and I are big jugglers. I want to have it be our theme, but I'm having a difficult time incorporating into our reception. I thought it would be fun to come up with some cool centerpiece idea the is price friendly and doesn't scream circus, but it isn't easy! If anyone has any ideas please share.

The one idea that I have come up with is instead of a first dance, having a first juggle. =)

So I picked out my dress. After trying on ever single kind there is I ended up with the first one I tried on. I am going with the pink in it. My family (aunts and uncles and other older members) is very traditional so it will be interesting to find out what my family will say. It took me a little while just to get my mom to like it. On the other hand, my sister and nieces and friends all love it. In fact, it was one of my bridesmaids who found it and had me try it on.

My bridesmaid dress will have the berry color and then the inside will match the light pink in my dress. It is a little lighter in reall life.

I still don't know about my little flower girl's outfit...there are so many cute dresses I don't know how I will ever make up my mind!

Since people want to know, it is by Alfred Angelo and it is Style 1797. I always want to know about $ and I am guessing everyone else wants to know, so my dress cost me $450.

Oh boy things are starting to get underway! I got my church booked and my reception place all set. There is no center aisle to walk down at my church which is the only down side. We will have to go in one way and out the other, but I do like the fact that everyone will sit together. There will be no bride side or groom side at our wedding. I guess it helps make for one big family and luckily there is plenty of room to hold a lot of people because both of us are very close to our very large families

So, I am trying to figure out my colors. I love yellow, but my all my bridesmaids are pale skinned so I am going to put them into pink and throw in a little yellow here and there. I think I even know what dress I will have them wear, but I will hold off a little longer on that. I have so many ideas for decorations….I don’t even know where to start.
